I think he's joking...
And yes, there is a 34643% chance we will have a Z pokemon anyways, just too much like game freak.
I am not too sure about a 'Z' Pokemon though. The X and Y seem to do much more with genetics and DNA than Dimensions like people previously thought. My main argument on that is the logos themselves...
Notice the genetic helix that is rainbow colored in the logo there. It is small, but it is there. Now, that simple little symbol says a few things to me on first glance. One, it is a genetic helix, that is the big thing for me. The fact that they wanted a DNA related symbol in the logo itself tells me that DNA/Genetics are going to be a rather large deal here. My next observation is not related to genetics or the theme of the game, but I did notice that the symbol is rainbow colored and is shining with somewhat of a glow coming off of it. That is another thing that leads me to believe we will be seeing a light type soon (a rainbow is the light spectrum and the symbol is glowing with light). They would want something like that in the logo due to it being the first new type in such a long time, but this is STILL just speculation on my part, and I can (and most likely will) be totally wrong.
Back to the Genetics theory though. Mind you, this is the first generation to give a separate form to a pokemon from a previous generation. Notice the Pokemon they chose here was Mewtwo, the Genetic Pokemon himself. In fact, given his reputation as the Genetic Pokemon, I wouldn't be surprised if HE was the third legendary, but I do find that highly unlikely (Game Freak and Nintendo
usually have something cool in store for the third main legend).
Now, the old theory was that X and Y stood for the 2D dimensions due to the game being released on the 3DS, while the 3rd game would be a Z version to represent the 3rd dimension. BUT, Xerneas radiated rainbows and Yveltal's underside lights up like a neon sign. They don't really have much to do with the dimensional planes.
Now that I am thinking about all of this again, Yveltal reminds me of a Virus cell (not computer virus for those of you wondering). Think about it, Viruses attach themselves usually with some kind of legs and even microscopic barbs sometimes. Here we have a Wyvern pokemon who kind of resembles an amoeba when looked on from underneath, and has claws on each appendage to (I am guessing) attach himself to things.
What if, and this is a LONG shot, but what if Yveltal is a Virus, while Xerneas is an Antibody?
And finally (now that I went on a long, boring rant that 9 times out of 10 most of you quit reading a while ago), the final, third legend to complete the trio. I am stumped myself. I really have no clue. Saying it will be a 'Z' Pokemon would be the best shot, but given the games' ties to genetics already, I am not even remotely sure what kind of legendary we have in store for us right now.
EDIT: While I am here, I wanted to share a thought I had today. What comes first... The edition name or the representative legendary? Did Ho-Oh already have his position as a game mascot before the game was named Gold Version? Was Dialga created only because his game was already named Diamond version? I was just wondering which of the two comes first, and which of the two is the most influential?
Are pokemon created specifically to be mascots, or are some of the creations just so good that they name a game after them...
