I hear there's items you can get to customize your trainer, meaning that you don't just pick a look from the beginning and are stuck with it, well your outfit anyway. Knowing...every video game that has DLC and customization has DLC items, I'm expecting that to happen, assuming X and Y use DLC, which Nintendo already has with the 3DS so don't be surprised!

Also, the english names were revealed for the 4 latest Pokémon

Gogoat = Gogoat

Elikiteru = Helioptile

Yayakoma = Fletchling

Yancham = Pancham

Apparently, the same source that has the rumors of the Fairy type and another Mewtwo form, among other things, predicted those were the name changes. Rumor validity up, but still unconfirmed.

I wasn't a fan of having a new type, but this type 

It will be weak to Poison and Steel. Immune to Dragon, and super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting. It will deal half damage to Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon.

It just balances those types out so well I think, especially with Dragon and Poison.

Ugh, finally something else besides Steel that resists Dragon! It's nice that Poison can hit something other than Grass for super effective damage.

Makes me wonder how long pokemon will go on at this expense and while it's good that the roster is increasing along with new moves and extended storyline. It makes me think to how they'll continue for future generations.

Oh well, I'm not concerned about that as seeing I need to save up to buy a 3DS for X & Y because I missed out the promo for Black & White.

I was searching how to get non-flyable pokemon to fly, but I forgot one move that could do that and that was Metronome though does anyone even use Metronome in battles? I'm not very lucky when it comes to using that move, but I like the anticipation of seeing what move is used though once I had the unfornate pleasure of drawing Splash from the random move set.

Good idea, this is normally the time when the best games start to go around anyways, plus you get it for almost half of what I paid for it. ($250) still was worth it, even if there was no ambassador program...

My main hope for the Pokémon series is that it doesn't EVER do some kind of silly "reboot" and start back from the beginning with all new Pokémon. Pokémon Black and White are how you should do a "reboot" personally.  I feel like it can keep going the way it goes for a long, long time.

Metronome is hilariously fun. It's a blast getting some of the unique moves, that only one Pokémon knows, like Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire! Or Deoxys' Psycho Boost*! (yes, I think I've done that before) Metronome gets more and more wild with each game!

Ow I just love metronome! I once got Magma storm twice in a row! (Heathran's legendary move) But I never use metronome in serious battles. I only use it if the chances of winning are high...

I think they could definitely pull it off if they had the player hold onto Goldeen's fins or something, and just sit in the water themselves.

That's hilarious, I remember that comic panel. I also wonder if they'll reintroduced old HMs, like Dive or make some new ones all together. Apart from Surf, Waterfall and Fly HM moves are useless in combat -_-

They should just give every pokemon one HM slot, which is not used in battle and does not take up a move slot, but simply used in the overworld. And they can be erased/forgotten in favour of a new one.

That would fix soooooo many irritations I have with HM moves.

I agree with you because the HM Cut was annoying to have in my battles not only that I had to waste it on one of my good pokemon that I liked to train. The only HM move I tolerate is both Surf and Fly since they at least deal some decent damage in battle plus it's not a normal move. Flash was okay, Whirlpool I considered useless, Waterfall was meh, Rock Smash was decent on a fighting type, and Strength was okay unless you had a good offensive type Pokemon.

Flash was never good... Rock Smash was always redundant, and Waterfall only became useful in Gen 4 when the special/ physical split was introduced (also ending the reign of Psychic types, plus Gyrados could hurts things MUCH more xD). I agree with Celianna's idea of a HM slot. That would also free up a place that a HM slave would usually fill. Ugh, in Platinum I was forced to lug around a Bibarel... God I hate that Pokemon...

i think strength was quite a good HM move.

used to wipe out the complete elite four with a level 65 Gyarados by using only three moves...

1 - Dragon Dance (3-4 times)

2 - Strength

3 - Surf for the ghost trainer

I gave my Machamp Rock Smash and with Cross Chop literally made him OP in many cases for me.

Double Team + Flash can make an annoying yet useful combination.
