Don't worry. I'm supposed to be the pokemon genius of my family, and yet I don't have it either. But my friend just bought it, and, from what he's taunting me with, it's awesome! But now I'm stuck with Y and it's inferior legendary. Yveltal looks cool, but his Dark/Flying type is weak to Xerneas' pure Fairy type. Also, does anyone else get a classic good verses evil vibe from the new legendarys?

Well, to add to my "not having either game", I 1)promised to buy x for my girlfriend meaning I am now stuck with Y, 2)am stuck with buying both games during a period in which my 3DS has suddenly decided to break itself and not stay on for more than 30 seconds. So long story short, I will be buying both games tomorrow... Y (clearly the inferior game) will be sitting in my room on my desk in plain view until I can find a reasonable priced 3DS to play it on. Add to the problem that I bought my original 3DS the week they came out, so I paid FULL LAUNCH PRICE for the f**king thing, and it is f**king broken... Better yet? I call nintendo to ask what can be done about the system... what do they tell me? "Better to just buy a new system as fixing it would cost too much. We hear the 3DS XL has lowered in price now to an average of $200! We hear that is quite the steal! I'm sure your local Wal-Mart would be more than happy to hook you up with one when you find the money for it!"

I'm not ****ting you, that is almost a direct quote from the Nintendo rep who answered the phone. Called a second time and asked why their customer service told me to go out and drop $200 so that I could play their new game when I am on their damn "founder's" list of people who bought their f**king system during launch week... They then told me the best they could do is offer $15 off a new 3DS XL... Not the regular 3DS, not the 2DS, no... the XL. So their best deal they can give me is a coupon for $15 off a $200 console that I shouldnt even be forced to buy in the first place... And people wonder why I hate Nintendo with such a strong fury...

Okay... my rant is over for the night. Sorry I went off, but nintendo man.... Their games are good, their consoles are okay, but their customer service is borderline "dealing with a tired, pissed off Taco Bell manager after 10pm".

The proper response to them is this:  "Um, I just bought this console.  It's still under warranty.  Why do you want me to buy a new console?  To try to screw me out of my money instead of fixing it for free as per your warranty included with every purchase of every console ever?  Yeah...  Send me the shipping labels, this is on you guys, not on me, especially since you made a defective piece of crap".

The problem with most customer service is that they try to jack you around instead of actually help you.  Threaten to basically stomp on their face, and they become a bit more reasonable.  Especially if you threaten to record it and post proof they're screwing you on the internet.  Word of Mouth is a powerful thing and a smart company quickly runs the other way when it's threatened on them.

Soooo, I went to the Pokémon Center here in Fukuoka. It was awesome (though smaller than I thought it would be). I didn't actually purchase X yet, 'cause I don't have a 3DS yet. (Soon! Soon!).

Anyway, they had a lot of X/Y merchandise. Most of the pokémon stuff you could buy had X and Y pokémon on them. There was also still some stuff from Black/White and of course the first generation of pokémon were properly presented as well. The second and third not so much (and I like these the most ). Here's some pictures. (Apparantly I'm not allowed to show close-up pictures of the things they actually have, unless I bought them, according to some Japanese law, so yeah...  ).

I like what hyde said about the elite four. I have two alternatives!

1. You walk in and they are doing something else other than standing there. Like, maybe they just beat a guy BAD and he gets carried out. "Oh, another challenger so soon? Would you like something to drink before we battle? No? Alright, well just give me a moment. *makes tea* I do hope you are stronger than that last one. My pokemon barely broke a sweat. *sip* Ah, nothing quite as refreshing as a good cup of tea. You kids these days don't appreciate the little things in life, always in a rush. *sigh* fine fine, let's get started then shall we?" ---ok, it's alittle long but we should cherish the final confrontations in my opinion. Make them have more meaning. But hey, what do I know? lol

2. You must FIND the elite four. Like they are around the area. Training. Working at a flower shop. Surfing out in the open sea. Exploring an ancient ruin. Ooo, maybe one heads up Team "Whatever". That'd be an interesting twist. You meet him and he pulls a Gades from Lufia 2 and annihilates you "It would seem you aren't quite ready for this stage yet, little boy/girl." then another elite four pushes him back with his own pokemon in order to defuse the situation. They taunt each other. "I've always wanted to fight you, Dragon-boy. You're precious dragon pokemon may be strong but I wonder how they will stand against my 'random ice/dark pokemon'!" Battle is interrupted before it can go further. ---Can you FEEL how much more interesting that would be?! It's building up the people you are going to be facing later on down the line. Idk. 

On another topic though, I am insanely jealous of all of you with pokemom x/y :_( I have to wait til my NEXT next check....stupid bills/mortgage...getting in the way of pokemon mastery! lol hope you are all having fun

Well, I bought my 3DS when Ocarina of Time came out (playing classic games was pretty much my only reason for owning the system), so that expense for me was long out of the way.  As for the games themselves, I had been saving and budgeting them for a while, which hasn't been easy to do with the Xbox One coming out in November.  It only gets worse when you realize I'm buying Battlefield 4 as well.  So, basically, I get to pay off my credit card this next paycheck and then pay it off again when BF4 comes out on that paycheck as well.  If I'm lucky, my credit card will be paid off enough that at the end of November, it's got enough money on it that my Amazon purchase goes through and I get my system (which I will then buy Dead Rising 3 on).

I hate this time of year, all the games I want always come out at this time, and all my paychecks are always small.

Back to Pokémon X and Y though...  I've got 12 hours invested in this game and I'm still stuck on Route 4 trying to catch those Pokémon.  I'd like a Combee, but only if I can catch the female ones that would evolve.  My mons are even up to level 18 at that point and I've been switching them out like crazy once they hit their final evolution in order to complete as much of my dex as possible before I figure out which mons I'd love to use in my team.  It honestly took me like 3 hours just to find a Pansage in the freakin' forest...  Took me another 2 to find a Riolu.  At the moment, I have a Zigzagoon and a Bunnelby in my party...  They both have Pickup...  I'm selling some of the items they've been picking up just so I can buy more Pokeballs.  My team is so unbalanced and messed up right now.  It's got Zigzagoon, Pidgey, Bunnelby, Fletchling, Riolu, and Braixen in it.

Did I ever tell you how much I hate friendship evolutions?  Yeah, I hate them a crapload.

EDIT:  I am currently having issues with my internet connection (I leech off of the Library across the street, but sometimes they are jerks and turn off their WiFi over the weekend, or don't have the range extended very far), so I can't add anyone as friends...  But, if anyone would like to add me, my friend code is 4038-6104-6069.

I'm at about 25 hours in, right before the 8th gym. So far I'm loving the game, but it's ridiculously easy. I've been doing 0 grinding/training and all my pokes are 5-10 levels above the curve. I wanted to catch all the pokes, but then I got wrapped up in the plot (ik its a pokemon plot but i like plot okay). also PSA

IF YOU SAVE IN LUMOISE CITY, YOUR SAVE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BREAK AND DIE.

This has been confirmed as an actual bug, so please be careful. 

Also my team is Delphox lvl 61, Venusaur lvl 62, Doublade lvl 58, Aurorus lvl 60, Flygon lvl 56, and Azumarill lvl 57 (named in the order i caught them). I'm playing this completely blind, so i had no idea half of these pokes existed, nor do I know their stats or intended roles. Also exp share is broken (in the strong way). Also I'm playing on Y because I always get the red version and my brother always gets the blue version. Also I spent all my money on clothes multiple times.

Much like other people, I don't own a 3DS and can't play the newest Pokemon either. I'm gonna wait it out a month, and I'm sure people will be selling their brand new 3DS with a copy of Pokemon because they're bored of it, at a much lower price

I'm playing my copy of Pokemon Y on my Pikachu 3DS XL. So much Pokemon, so little time!

I'm obsessively catching every Pokemon in every area, so I'm something like 22 hours in but I've only gotten two badges. I have a Greninja named Nereus level 36, Tyrunt named Zeus level 29, Meowstic named Hades level 33, Talonflame named Hephaestus level 35, Honedge named Orpheus level 28, and Vivillon named Hermes level 34.

My Vivillon has dark blue and white wings! The polar pattern. uwu I have a friend in California who has a brown one...so, different parts of America have different Vivillon varieties? I thought America would have only one! That's so neat.
