I can't restart anymore...I don't want to lose all the progress I've obtained. Almost finished the Central Kalos Pokedex...minus one pokemon: Spritzee. GAH.

On another note, there's a man in one of the hotels from which I got a Magikarp today...in exchange for a Gyrados...why? I don't know, but it's locked with an adamant nature, swift swim, and high speed and attack, of course.

Did anyone else get the mysterious relic thing from one of the backpackers in the hotels (Ambrete, I think)...I have a feeling it's either related to Gen VII, a Hoenn Remake, or some event...but I'm stumped.

Oh! One more thing, how is everyone doing in finding interesting berry mutations at the berry farm. It's the only way to get those berries that lower your base stats, I think. (Instead of 'Reset Bagging' all of the stats)

See? I haven't been that far!  Ha ha.  I'm still on Route 5 catching mons!  Doesn't help that I took a week off in order to get back into Minecraft with some of my friends...

So, some of you may have been wondering where I went.... Need I explain myself? Long story short, got a new 3DS XL, courtesy of Nintendo, after a very pleasant conversation on how I have supported their company since they broke into the video game market, and am now seriously considering taking both my business, and the business of my friends and family, elsewhere (Yes, after a long conversation, they reimbursed me enough for my broken 3DS that I was able to get a Blue 3DS XL, life is great right now). I picked up Y version for myself and X for my girlfriend. Of course, with having to spend much of my week at work, she got a significant head start on me (has 6 badges, I now have 2), but I am REALLY loving these games. This generation is the step forward for the series that should have been taken with generation 5, but wasnt. This is what the series needed, big time. So, as I am a bit behind, let me just make a small list of the things I have been appreciating with this game so far...

  • I feel so connected to the outside world when playing this. Unlike other games in the series; where I had to stop what I was doing, run to a pokecenter, and attempt to find someone on my friend list who happens to be online; I can now see a large list of people who are online at all times. I can instantly at any time shoot them a trade request, or a battle request, or even use an O Power on them to give them a temporary boost. Or my favorite online feature so far... Wonder Trade! The connectivity/online play this time around has moved so far ahead of the rest of the series that I am, for the first time, excited to see how online play turns out in the next game(s). Nintendo will never make the Pokemon MMO that we so crave, but I get chills thinking about what we will be able to do in "Z" (if that is what they call it) or the Ruby/Sapphire remakes (or whatever they do next).

  • The world... This region... it is GORGEOUS. Beautiful. Amazing. Fantastic. What else could I say? Bringing the world into 3D has done wonders for the game. Sure, the world itself isn't the most exciting or inspiring region we have explored so far, but it being in glorious 3D has finally given everything a feeling of being alive. The trees stand tall, the cliffs inspire awe, the water dazzles in the sunlight. The slight wind pushing around the delicate blades of grass as you roller-blade down the narrow pathway that leads to your next adventure. Okay, went a little "author-ish" with that, but you get the point. I feel more "in" the game than before with the series now.

  • Trainer Customization is a godsend. It needed to happen alongside the online features, it really just did. If we had online like we do now, but everyone was stuck with the same male/female trainer... oh god, how boring. But now, even if the customization is a bit limited, we can finally be a bit creative with our character. We can finally show off our own style. But what makes me even more excited about our new customization you ask? Well, the rumored Gen III remakes, of course. Think on this for a few minutes. I get the feeling that customization is leading to something big. Nintendo always loves to try out features small, then grow them when they get popular. If Gen III gets 3D games with the trainer customization... mix that in with the secret base feature from Gen III and you practically now have your own personal Gyms. Show off your personal style with a custom character inside of his/her own personal hideout that he/she furnished with exotic items from all over Hoenn! Food for thought.

  • Pokemon Designs... Nintendo, you're doing it right. Many people disliked gen 5 pokemon designs. Now, I am one who personally thought many of them were very creative and find that most people complaining are doing so out of nostalgia, and nothing more. For god's sake, when Gen 3 first came out, people cried in the streets about how un-Pokemon the new pokemon looked, and how they were going to quit playing pokemon games because the new designs were so bad... now people are crying in the street because the new pokemon "Don't look half as good as the Gen 3 pokemon" and that Gen 3 remakes are still not done. Now, I will admit that some gen 4 and gen 5 pokemon designs were bad (sigilyph isnt a pokemon in my mind, Darmanitan's 'eyebrows' make him look like a silent movie comedian, and so on), but overall I thought most of them were good. But gen 6... wow... here we go guys. We have something for pretty much everyone here, which is saying a lot as we only got like 60 new pokemon all together. I personally find this generation's pokemon to be some of the better ones since gen 2 and 3, but that is a personal opinion. However, I will leave out the Keychain pokemon and Mega-Heracross for personal reasons (his nose... oh god, his nose!!!)

  • I can ride LAPRAS!!! I CAN RIDE MUTHA-FU*KIN LAPRAS!!! AND RHYHORN!!!!

So, while those aren't all of my observations, those are a few opinions I had. OPINIONS, please remember that word. I know some of my opinions (particularly the design opinion) will start a flamewar the likes of which have never been seen on any non-pokemon based forum before, but if we remember that my words are not the word of law in this land, we will be alright.

On that note, anyone want to be friends? I abuse O-Powers like none other, lol. Add me and you may get some free catch boosts soon. And once the transfer app goes live, I may do a shiny giveaway or two, we will see.

I would like to see people doing weird stuff with Wonder Trade. How about a new challenge? You start a game, and wonder trade everything you get, including legendaries, starter, etc xD. Just to see what kind of gorgeous Pokémon you get.

Yeah, definitely that's what I would do, xD,

I have pretty much wonder traded at least a hundred times already, and nine-times-out-of-ten, I get something that I either needed for my pokedex or could possibly use. People are pretty generous for the most part. My first wonder trade I got an ivysaur, then second was aerodactyl, third was ditto... so you can see why I kept going. I just get so interested in what I will find next. Im keeping the TTar and MegaStone Aggron that I got though, lol.

With the amount of "Unbalanced Trades" I've seen, I didn't want to try out the Wonder Trade.  I looked up just "Bulbasaur" to see what people were asking for.  One person was asking for a Squirtle.  The next 58 people were asking for Mewtwo or Xerneas or Yvital (sp?).

I wish my internet weren't so intermittent on the whole thing, I'd be able to level up my pass powers faster as well as do my "exclusive" trades.

I did trade once though.  Caught me a Plusle and traded it for a Minun.  So, at least there's people out there who are like me and just want to trade over the exclusives that aren't available in their game.

Though...  This is going to suck without a second 3DS...  No way to get my Alakazam without having actual friends nearby to trade with me and then trade me back.

Hmmm, I've gotten quite a nice lot of fun stuff via Wonder Trading; a Fennekin (I chose Chespin), Haunter (that evolves into Gengar), and an Adamant Tauros~

Also for those of you who have completed the games, read the spoiler. Those who haven't leave it :p

It seems we may get the legendary trio by some sort of event. Though I hope they don't make the same mistake with Gen 5 and NOT give the legendary trio a story. Plus I'm still waiting on the ultra cute one; i.e. Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy and Victiny.

Ooh...well, there are three pokedexes now...maybe this has something to do with catching them all? Just speculating.

Tai, many people will trade Kadabras for Kadabras on GTS,  and I also know that Wonder Trade only has 25% usless crud...the rest is done very well, ecspecially because most people realize that Wonder Trade seems to have some sort of karma attached to it. XD

Or I could just post my Friend code and provide you with one. I have too many pokemon now...thanks to my little week playing spree.

@ Hyde: That third paragraph got be drooling there. I could finally create a Mudkip gym. *cough* I mean, a very sensible gym with sensible Pokemon. Though it would be fun to see how much customization there would be if they added into the new Hoenn game. And of course, we'd need the original Battle Frontier (BATTLE PYRAMID AND BATTLE...SNAKE-THING!).

On another note, Gen VII, or another region within the sixth gen, is coming soon too. A backpacker discreetly says: "I come from a place with a facility you wouldn't believe, you'll see it in due time..." or something of the sort, and after getting a cool item (Strange Souvenir), he says something like: "I don't come from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, or Unova!"

Strange indeed.

I love the Wonder Trade feature! I've only just beaten the Prof. and obtained my second starter, a Squirtle, but I've already obtained tons of awesome pokemon. Ditto, Fennekin, Klefki (who I actually like the design of), Tyrunt, Honedge, Frogadier, and two Eevees, just to name a few. I love the design of the new pokemon, and I can't wait to start mega-evolving. Also, Super Training is awesome. Before, I couldn't train EVs to save my life, but now, as soon as I decide that I want a pokemon in my party, SUPERTRAINING!SUPERTRAINING!SUPERTRAINING! Maybe now I'll actually be able to actually beat other trainers (Isayhopfullyrealizingitwillneverhappen). Also, hope you don't end up with me on a Wonder Trade. I'm one of those who ends up trading junkmons. But, on a one on one trade, I'm usually quite generous.

My issue is always that I'd like my mons back if I have to trade to evolve them.  I mean, sure, the boosted XP is nice and all from a traded mon...  It's just, I already put work into my own mons, and I don't like someone wandering off with all my hard work.  What I may end up doing is just buying a second 3DS at some point to trade those mons with myself.

Also, I've never liked any of the "battle" things, because these are the places where the computer is most likely to cheat and nudge the RNG in its favor in order to screw you.  It only gets worse when it's "you can bring only three mons, but you must beat 100 mons in a row".  Get real.  Unless I'm super hyper specializing my team and becoming one of those "Stop Having Fun Guys", this is ridiculous.  No, cutting it to 49 does not make it ANY better.  The whole thing is a silly boring monotonous grindfest that you do after you've already exhausted all the GOOD content of the game.

I really wouldn't mind them so much if there wasn't always a Trainer Card Star (upgrade) behind these freakin' things.

One of my biggest questions with these games so far has been...  Is there a way to transfer mons from Black2/White2 into X or Y?  If there is, I can't wait for that.  I'll just start sending all my legendaries and such across then.

Yes. Sometime in december, we are getting a 3DS transfer app that will let you upload your pokemon from previous games and send them to X and/or Y.

Also, if you have internet and need to trade-evolve, let me know. I will work with you easily. And best yet, you can trust me. I help trade-evolve all the time, I personally have most of the trade-evo pokemon already, and you know where to find and spam me if something goes wrong... so three reasons why I can be trusted right there. My friend code is in a post above, just make sure to let me know you are adding me.

The second I got my hands on ditto I've been breeding all my starters, and through the Global Link I now have one of each for 1st and 6th gen. I just randomly trade away like five fennekins on wonder trade whenever I'm bored lol.

Alright, I added you.  Mine is this:

Dudeman

You know, there is another great reason to add friends on this game, even if you never trade with them...  Friend Safari and the chance to catch mons with their Hidden Abilities!

So... I've got Modern Colored Vivilians...  Anyone else got any of the other color types?  I don't know why, but I have the urge to collect all the pretty colors!

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
