You know, there is another great reason to add friends on this game, even if you never trade with them...  Friend Safari and the chance to catch mons with their Hidden Abilities!

Just added you. And I agree with your statement. This game really adds many new reasons to actually connect to others.

Yeah, I kind of like that there are now a bajillion reasons to connect to other people and interact.  I did finally do a Wonder Trade last night.  Alas, it wasn't as fun or interesting as it has been for you guys.  I Super Trained a Honedge to max EVs in Attack Power while it was level 11 and then Wonder Traded it.  I got a Minun (which I already had) in return.  Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, I guess.  I did also trade one of my Vivilions for another kind of them.  I now have a Modern and an Ocean variant!

I've also been leveling up my O-Powers   Still working on Capture Rate, ha ha.

No, it's not bad that you're 60 hours in and haven't beaten the game.  I'm almost 30 hours in and haven't even beaten the second gym.  Too much time spent with Pokémon Amie and O-Powers and Super Training...  Also, a lot of time wasted trying to find and catch all the mons on every route while also switching out my party members and gaining dex entries.  I have 62 dex completion before reaching the second gym.

Ugh, I'm taking a day break from the game, and I'm already having withdrawal symptoms. Saw someone on the bus playing it, decided they were my new best friend and spent a half hour admiring their biking skills.

Does anyone know where the leaf and ice stone are in Kalos? (Y'know, to get Leafeon and Glaceon...)

I know they are in X and Y, I can probably guess where the general areas are but I still can't find them.

The ice stone is in that ice cavern above dendemille town and the moss rock is in the forest just next to Snowbelle city.

Also, you can get unlimited Fire/Leaf/Water/Thunder/Shiny Stones from Super Training. Once your pokemon has maxed out his EVs, you unlock a new set of Super Training that give you a chance to earn a stone on completion. I managed to get a couple stones from it.

My friend code: 3883-6093-7410 (apparently my Friend Safari is FIGHTING type with a Mienshao and Sawk in it. I don't know what my third pokemon is yet).

yes, but that's only for leaf, fire, and water stones.

All that's left is espeon now.

-_-" I finally found the stupid Daycare Center.  The problem?  No ditto yet.  So I try to trade for one.  Everyone wants legendaries from the end of the game for one.  WHY!?  If you want something that's at the end of the game, you won't get a freakin' ditto, 'cause by then all those people will have caught one themselves!

I hate the GTS most of the time.  Unbalanced ridiculously stupid trades...

The nice thing about GTS is that you can basically get anything you want if you trade a starter for it.^^

Yup, I love the GTS in this generation. It certainly helped me complete my Kalos Pokedex.

In order to get the legendary birds, I traded the Zapdos that I caught for a Moltres which I traded for an Articuno which I THEN traded for an Yveltal. So that's basically how I 'caught' every legendary. Hehe~

I really like the fresh start where you actually CANNOT get your pokemon from previous generations. It's really like a breath of fresh air. No one has hacked or stupid RNG'd pokemon and I LIKE THAT. The GTS is all filled with legit pokemon so it's safe to use! (I didn't use it in gen 4 or 5)

 Of course, things will change when bank comes out.

I wouldn't quite say that cheating isn't happening yet. Last night I got a "Protean" Froakie in wonder trade, which I believe has yet to be released. I could be wrong though.

You can actually catch the hidden ability starters through friend zones. I caught a hidden ability braixen because of that.

I was pleasently surprised!

I thought Protean was Froakie's hidden ability? If you have a friend with a Froakie in their Friend Safari, and you're in his Friend Safari while he's online, the pokemon you catch have their hidden abilities. My friend is going to trade me a Protean Froakie this weekend!

Also,  I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but pokemon caught in a Friend Safari have 2 stats with 31 IVs. This is why Dittos are the most valuable pokemon on the planet right now to have in a Friend Safari since you can then pass those 31 IVs down to pretty much any pokemon you want through breeding. Dittos caught in a Friend Safari are 100x more valuable than one caught in the wild (like in Pokemon Village).

True, but you can still easily dupe people out of their legendaries for dittos. I've gotten three Articunos, and two of each main legendary (x/y) just by ditto trading.

On another note...is "dittos" the way to say that there are multiple ditto(s)? Or is it like moose? Or is it  spelt like "dittoes"...?
