Calling all European, Australian, and/or Japanese Corner Members
As many of you know, PokeBank is now available in Europe, Australia, and Japan. The trial period has been extended to March 14th for anyone within these regions. If you acquire pokebank sometime before us pesky North Americans do, I ask that you possibly donate us some of your time to answer a few questions. Now, nobody is required to do this for us at all, this is only me kindly asking. There are some things that may need testing if you would also like to try them, but that too is up to you.
I ask of this favor only so that we can start researching the possibilities of Pokebank without having to wait for sites like Serebii to cover things for us. I take pride in how successful the Pokemon Corner has become (don't ask me why, but we were actually mentioned on Smogon Forums once), and I would love for us to be able to conduct a bit of our own research if possible. Not to mention I would love for our members who do not yet have access to the app to have the chance to ask questions about it before it arrives (seeing as we still have no updates on when that may happen.
If you are willing to answer a few questions, please let me know and we will figure it all out.
Pokémon Bank will probably be released within the next week or so, they just need to let the European traffic die down (basically the same as the two-week wait between Japan and Europe, but I don't think Europe will take as long).
Now my Kyurem and I will conquer the Nintendo Wi-fi together...
Wait, I can't transfer fused Kyreum??? Does anyone know where I can find DNA splicers in X and Y? I'll spare your life when I conquer the Nintendo Wi-fi. XD
I also wish you can transfer Pokemon from the 4th gen games, it would be really easy for those who don't have a 5th gen game, or just suck at the 4th-5th gen transferring system.
Couldn't you just transfer everything forward? That's what I've been doing! Transfer from Fire Red, Leaf Green, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald up into Diamond/Pearl/Platinum via the Pal Park thingie. Then, I transfer them forward into Heart Gold/Soul Silver. After that, into Black/White. After that, into Black 2/White 2. Couldn't I then transfer all of them into the Bank for transfer back into X and Y?

I actually like this design better than the one for HG/SS > Black/White. If they'd make it so you can just dump a transfer box into one of the bank boxes it would be perfect.
Also, looking at my White file and back at X...we got an amazing update to graphics in such a short time.
Oh god I messed up on restarting my X when I moved my Pokemon to the bank. I didn't transfer my Blaziken... wait... oh I forgot now, my Blaze is in the digital bank except my poor Charizard and Gengar.
I know, it took all my guts and effort to restart Firered again. But the main problem is Black and White had a huge, blurry pixels that even zoom in when you enter buildings.
The only way he could've gotten a legit Shaymin is through Platinum... Or visiting one of those Nintendo events in person. I have one in Platinum that I have yet to pick up (you can't access it until you've beaten the Elite Four... I haven't).
Not true. I currently have an event Shaymin on my (newly started as of this morning, btw)(yes, I am starting my second playthrough finally, wish me luck) Y version, and Smogon is giving out special Arceus and Rayquazas this week on their facebook. So, not all are banned. BUT, that said, I read somewhere that 97% of all Arceus in existence across all generations currently are fake. Truth be told, there were NOT that many Arceus events across the globe, so chances are you will find a fake one before a real one. However, that makes Arceus incredibly valuable online.
Speaking of valuable online, get your butts over to Pokemon Showdown soon. Pick up the program, then log on, then hop on the trade chat channel. Just scanning trade chat, I have picked up a 6 iv Shiny Japanese Ditto, 6 IV Shiny Iron Fist Chimchar, 6 IV Protean Greninja, 5 IV Timid Charmander, 5 IV Bulletproof Impish Chespin, Dialga, Giratina, Groudon, Darkrai, Meloetta, Perfect Drilbur, and various non-comp cool pokemon I just felt like snatching up (like aggron, tyranitar, etc.).
To give you a heads up on what's good, here is a list of high value pokemon that trade chat is looking for so that you can grab some good trades too... (btw, I will rate value with stars; * for lowest value, *** for highest)
Landorus ***
Tornadus **
Thunderus *
Genesect ***
Zekrom **
Reshiram **
Dialga **
Palkia ** (however, *** for me cause I have Dialga and Giratina, but no Palkia)
If a legend is shiny, add at least one star to the mix, often two
5 IV Non-Shiny *
6 IV Non-Shiny **
Shiny *
5 IV Shiny **
6 IV Shiny ***
There are PLENTY more pokemon you will get good trades for, but that is a good place to start. Remember, that is the current Pokemon Showdown! wishlist of sorts. That is relevant as of right now and may not be relevant as much, say, a month down the line.
I don't really get the gist of this competitive breeding on these IV stats.
I know it requires items like Power Band, Destiny Knot, and etc. combined with selective breeding of Pokemon with IV stats. Can someone tell me what in the world is that about?
Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
