Hello Anyone that knows a lot about pokemon essentials!!!

I have loaded my pokemon essentials and my default color on my tile sets is purple but the background to all the other pictures is white, so anyone know how to change my default color to white because you cant edit it with paint.

Asking for help on rips of commercial copyrighted games...

Rips are illegal for Pokemon.

Pokemon alone is a registered trademark.

So I doubt these were made from scratch or even do not carry any copyright infringement with them.

So I bet nobody will help you on this.

That said, as long as creeper861 doesn't post any rips, they are allowed to ask for help on how to get certain images to work with RPG Maker.

Are you asking how to change the transparency so that the white is gone? If so, use the dialog to import the resource and click on the area to make transparent.

and how would i do that?

On the tile sets, in the top left corner there is a square , that is your default color, I want to know how to change that to white

When you say Paint, I'm assuming MS Paint, which is not a very good tool to use for just about anything. I'd recommend trying Paint.net. It's free, and it's set up to have a familiar look as Paint (for those who may be uncomfortable with something completely different) but comes packed with several features found in more advanced software.

You should be able to edit the background the way you want with Paint.net.

Which format do you save your pictures as?


The reaction of the RM's resource importer depends on the file format.


If you try to import a file in a format that has no transparency channel (for example BMP and JPG), then the resource manager will open a window where you can set the transparency.


If you try to import a file in a format that has a transparency channel (for example PNG) then the resource importer assumes that you set the transparency before you imported that picture.


It is much better to use PNG pictures, but if you do that you have to make the background transparent in paint.net before saving that picture (MS Paint can't handle transparency, that's why you have to use other programs)

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
