Poll: Console Use

This is a Playstation Community so PS4. (if you don't understand, I just did that Xbox Judge from Adam Ruined Everything from that immigration episode)

Anyways here a FYI, RPG maker MV can Works on a WiiU system using nintendo's web framework but you have to find a way for the engine to work for the WiiU.

I would get PS4, but it's way too costly, even the upcoming slim. Plus, many of the new games coming out just weren't that interesting for the high costs to buy them. Better graphics don't make better games, and they keep re-hashing the same old things, like COD and other horrid FPS. There are only 2 games I want for PS4, and none for WiiU and XBOX One, and all have announced their next gen consoles...

I have WII U, originally purchased for only two games, Dragon Quest X (which thus far still hasn't come to the U.S.) and Xenoblade Chronicles. Aside from that, I haven't purchased any other games for myself to enjoy, but have purchased plenty for my boys, it seems to be a more family friendly system than PS and XboX.

For me PS3, DS, and PS2 considering i have the console rpg makers for the PS1, and PS2. To get back into creating when i need to test out some ideas.

Handheld (since everyone else is putting these up, too) PSVita, 3DS, GameBoy Advance SP.

Playing Xbox One the most simply because that's what my friends are using. Also, Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 is a great party game.

i was thinking this too..i would hope that with both MS and Sony offering their services on PC now, it would open the door for more indie developers being able to release on console. IMO if the console wants to survive than this is a must.

They might not want the potential competition, of indie devs selling smaller titles at $5 & $10, stacked against their own $60 titles. Not to mention, indie devs are something of an unknown quantity, that aren't nearly as vetted in the content that they create, as the triple A companies. 


Microsoft might be worried about the potential fallout of Mom & Dad coming home one day from work, & little Tommy or Susie is playing 9/11 Hijackers or Nazi Death Camp Tycoon that they downloaded with X-Box live.


Yes as communities go, most people within our's wouldn't make something like that. However, don't forget that, Super Columbine Massacre was created with RPG Maker 2000.

they can easily prevent this with rules on acceptable content.......also they already have indie devs on there for under $10, and it will encourage more people to play the system if they have more titles to play...even set up a service, $10 a month for unlimited indie games. or something im not in marketing but with ps+, and psnow being on pc, this is just smart

However, one thing I have learned over the years is that "easily preventable" tends not to hold up against malicious intent. & I don't see rules of acceptable content stopping the next Super Columbine Massacre, Postal, Manhunt, or Hatred from ending up in the hands of little Bobby or Suzie. More likely it will just be a question of the manner that is used to circumvent the controls.

I own both a PS4 and Wii-U.  The PS4 gets a lot more use due to it having a far larger collection of games I want to play, particularly RPGs or RPG-hybrids.


Having both Sony and Nintendo consoles is normal for me in each generation.  I don't have any handhelds since I just use my phone for that.

It's totally a different feeling when playing it together with your family.


I'm excited to play Nintendo with my future children.~ Just the thought of it. Aw. x3


But PS4 or Xbox1? Ugh.. I get a lame image out of it, no laughter and joy.


PS4 and X is good for single-players.


And mainstream gamers. :3


Heck: I sometimes even put in my Wii or Gamecube to play some good old gamecube games..


Nintendo just knows best when it came to consoles. :3


(Btw; I forgot that I use my N3DS more frequently than I use my WiiU.. But handconsoles were not the question right?)


(Because I love my N3DS a lot too.. The streetpass function is just.. love. )

Sadly I only have all of the last generation's consoles. But hey, at least I have this shiny new computer so there's that.

To an extent, yes. Xbox and Playstation generally have the same games save some exclusives. And whilst there's the Nintendo being family friendly stereotype, Playstation and Xbox have plenty of family friendly games, but they're just not as well made as the Nintendo ones. About 70% of my Wii U library is at least 15+. Those games tend to be overlooked due to the Nintendo is for kids nonsense, though.


As for RPGs, it's a toss up between all three. 360 had some exclusives, as did PS3, as did Wii. Not sure about Xbone, but Wii U and PS4 have minute share of them, too.


In all honesty, though, my PC renders my PS4 obsolete. It seems to get most PS and Xbox "exclusives", and they're a third of the price. Suits me just fine, though.

I only use handheld consoles, so right now I've been having great fun with the 3DS.


I also had a PS2 until recently. I'm looking forward to getting a PS4 someday as well as a Vita.


And of course, I have my computer.

I used to have an XBox 360 but burglars stole it a year ago.  


Now I have a PS4. Got it for No Mans Sky which kinda disappointed (lets see if future updates make it more interesting) and for the upcoming Final Fantasy 15 (hopefully a cool game).
