Hi there I'm very new to RPG maker so this could be somthing small that I am missing.

If you look at the above image whenever I use the wall overlay (Hole/torn wallpaper) I get some black lines that dont look like they sould be there?

As far as I know i imported the images correctly and I also used the included Lazy Tilesets script to populate the tilesets in the database.

Just from the few hours of testing this is the only thing that looks a little wrong. Other than that the Bundle looks amazing great job on the artwork.

Any ideas?

Cheers in advance.

Are you sure that you constructed the tileset correctly? The wall tiles should usually be on the A-tab (Autotile), because then they would fit automatically. Your pictures look as if you're using some regular B-E tiles for the walls, and have a wrong setting for that.

For shop resources, if a tilesheet is supposed to go into one of the A#-Slots, it contains the slot name in the filename - please check if all tilesheets with an A# are indeed in the A-Slot with the correct number.

Nope they are all in the A slot. I would post a picture but I'm guessing the Artist wouldnt appriciate me posing a pic of the tileset.

Edit:

This shows what i have without showing the tiles

you can post a screenshot of the tileset in the database as that is unusable for copying the tiles.

And I think you misunderstood - the five A-slots are all different. If for example a tilesheet is labeled A2 it has to go into the slot A2 - placed in A1 or A3 it would not work correctly. Is that correct in your setting? Because especially the shadows on the walls indicate that you disabled the autotile function when those tiles were placed.

Additional thought: that could happen by placing the tilesheets wrong, but it could also happen if you pressed shift at the wrong moment.

Shift-Click-Mapping is a vital method for exterior building placements, but internal walls are not to be shift-clicked, here you need the autotile function.

(if you don't know what shift-click-mapping is, follow the link in my signature. One of the tutorials linked there describes that method.

I don't have this set, but I'm wondering (looking at exactly how the lines are appearing) if the tile for the torn wallpaper is on A5?  if it is, then it will be disrupting the autotiling of an A4 tile, because it will be making the A4 tile think the wall has come to an end.  I'm making the suggestion because when you put in a half height (i.e. one tile high) torn wallpaper, you can see the horizontal line indicating that the main wall at that point has become one tile high instead of 2 tiles high.

If that is the case, then try holding shift  when you select the A5 tile and shift right click it on top of the A4 tile.

Hey, I've sent you a reply to your PM, but it's the same advice as here. Hold down the shift key when you click to place the torn wallpaper tiles into position :)

I know Andar has already mentioned it above but I have to stress again, I highly reccomend checking out the "Starting Point" link in Andar's signature as it has everything you could possibly need to get started with the program. Thanks for picking up the pack and welcome to the community!

Thanks for the help and tips.

I hope to see more resource packs in the same style in the future. They look amazing!!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
