Pop Horror Tiles? They look awesome.

What should our talented artists and musicians work on next?

Graphics: other options for benben/tana-trees. Srsly, it's about time, guys.

Music: jRPG Battle Themes

What should our talented artists and musicians work on next?

I feel as though we've had this question before.

For graphics: More sci-fi stuff always goes down well in my books, more monster sprites (RTP style), battlebacks of different themes (we're really short on these), battle animation graphics (shortage on these too).

For music: More sci-fi and cyberpunk themes, more battle tracks, oh and sound effects. The sci-fi sounds pack has been immensely useful. Having more sound packs for other themes would also be great.

I'd also like to mention that I'd love to see more scripts packs. Most notably something to change the mechanics of the game - new level up systems, new character stats, new battle layouts, etc.

What should be worked on next? More pixel art of course! ;) I'm so totally biased. Pretty much anything made of pixel art has been an instant buy item for me so far. I'd also like more musical effects, sounds or musical clips that aren't meant to be background songs but can be used for events or instead of sound effects. For things like leveling up or finding something cool and such.

@Zak: Maybe I'm not familiar enough with Benben's stuff but I don't know what you're asking for. There are lots of tree options, is there something specific you want?

I love those Pop Horror City tiles! Very awesome pixel art indeed...might have to pick up that pack, hmmmm.

What should our talented artists and musicians work on next?

  • With the recent releases of the futuristic and modern tilesets, we could totally use some more music that matches the feel of those tilesets.
  • Perhaps some sci-fi animations? Neon colored, bombs, nukes, lazers, etc.

Oh, new resources!

I haven't had a chance to listen to the music yet, but the Battleback und the Pop Horror City look good! Too bad you can't see much of the battlers on those small screenshots. But I think, sci-fi battlers were much needed.

I loove the Pop Horror City Look. Please make more in this style, Vexed!

@Zak: Maybe I'm not familiar enough with Benben's stuff but I don't know what you're asking for. There are lots of tree options, is there something specific you want?
He means, bigger trees, like 4-7 tiles high, with single leaves.

Entry:

Here's hoping I finally win something.

As I said, I would love to see more of Vexed Style.

I also would like to see just a general expansion of the rtp. Like rtp+. That would be awsome.

Aaand, very important, different sprite bases! I would love to use other sprites than chibi rtp ones, maybe bigger ones. Just a variety on sprites would be great.

Samurai music = Amazing. Making the ultimate samurai game just got a step easier. Really like the sci-fi battlers as well.

As far as what should be worked on next:

Music: I'd like to see something that would fit in with European settings like a Victorian setting or something you might hear played on the streets of France or in a fancy art gallery.

Battlers: How about coming up with some wacky amalgamations of existing traditional fantasy monsters.

Tiles: Noire style tiles, something detailed but kind of dark in color maybe even heavy grays.

Also something for forests maybe even magical based forests or the opposite; completely decayed, poisoned or dying forests or themed around a village thats been built around a forest like tree houses/houses that have been built into the trees.

Excellent packs. We've got some awesome artists here. Vexed FTW

As for the question: I'll go with Matseb. We need more RTP Monsters and Sci-Fi stuff, as well as some new modern stuff (not only tiles but sprites, music, battlers, etc.)

More Sci-Fi resources. Space ships, flying cars, RTP style aliens; orchestral Sci-Fi tracks.
Definitely Interstellar craft.  We lack over world and title sets for them.

Congrads Vex, I am buying the set for use in the IGMC.  I really wanna display this magnificent set and now I have it.

Big, giant hugs to Vexed. I'm so happy that your tiles are out now!

What should our artists and musicians work on next?

I definitely would like to see more animations. I know they're a lot of work! But more battle animations, tile animations, ect. I would pay handsomely to get more motion and sparklies. Additionally, I would love to see more battle backs, parallax backgrounds, ect.

For audio. Definitely sound effects. All across the board.

Edit: Only reason I didn't mention Victorian inspired is because I always say it; so it's a given~

Wow, currently listening to Adventure's Final Journey, really good stuff! Can the music be used in any engine if you own both the music and any RM engine?

Everything in the shop (first time looking through haha) is absolutely amazing. Man the people here/on staff team have some awesome skills! I mean those sci-fi battlers look really good, makes me want to make a sci-fi game. :guffaw:

I would actually like to see more XP resources...but I suppose that might not be an option and that more fantasy (like Zelda-esque or something along the lines of FF12/6/5) and sci-fi (space ship tilesets, characters, and "alien planetary" tilesets so people can make "off world" maps") resources would be awesome no matter the engine. :) As for audio...I think some western music would be nice, to go with the western tiles or some action-adventure type stuff. :)

Really amazing stuff. Extra super happy about Vexed's pack; the pixels are too glorious!

Just a tiny comment on the store information: It should say which makers the sets and packs are for. Right now it's anybody's guess if it works with 2k3, VX and/or VX Ace. I know it's obvious to most of us, but stepping into the shoes of a newbie, I'd be really confused.

I'm typing while listening to the Adventurer's music pack. There are some very inspiring tracks there!

Just to provide some variety to the resource request: more animals.

Not necessarily fantasy ones. They could be dogs, cats, ducks, sheeps, cows, foxes, wolves, birds, horses, you name it.

There are only a few in the RTP and it quickly becomes limited if you need variety.

As for the audio part, I'd say more Noir/Jazz themes. I don't remember that there are a lot of them in the store, only a couple DLCs comes to my mind.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
