I recently bought the sci-fi battler and it rocks! These hand painted battlers are a treat that feels like a tease. There are 25 battlers, most are a different version of the same battler which is something i love. Some have minor additions that can only be noticed if you stare hard enough.

I would love to throw a challenge to the artist, 75 battlers for the next pack. 25 original battlers and the rest for different versions of the same battlers.

  Saving for your next release!

I'd also like to mention that I'd love to see more scripts packs. Most notably something to change the mechanics of the game - new level up systems, new character stats, new battle layouts, etc.
Agreed, we need more focus on creating new engine templates (like Luna Engine) and script packs. I love resources (audio as well as graphics) but with all the free content and now the store, it's becoming oversaturated - especially as far as music, sprites, battlers, and tiles are concerned.

But a need for spaceships, sprites to match the battlers we have, more old school 8-bit melodies, and the like have gone lacking. An easy to use plug-n-play script pack template / demo would be pretty nice, too.

Q:what should the staff work on next?

A:l think I'd like to see more neat scripts!! Preferably that are compatible with Luna Engine, or at least don't conflict with it anyway.

A question, please (and forgive me if this has been mentioned and I missed it):

When are these packs coming to the forum store? Is there a set delay we have to wait out? Will these never be accessible from it? Am I blind and have they been there along, mocking me? XD

(gotta use my member+ discount dengit, I am so getting the pop horror pack)

What should our talented artists and musicians work on next?

DS Packs are fantastic and there is also the Retro SciFi pack comaptiblie with it.

I would wanna see more content on that kind of artwork. A special DS that will contain hotel, casino, pool bar, restaurant, mall, concert places, kart stage, jet skis and stuff done on luxurious vacation. Luxury places, like hotel suites, museums, Art Galleries, pubs you know, this theme would be "Dream Vacation"  DS but it can really be useful on 90% of any game made. Including busts of personell will make the pack EPIC! Such a thing would be big of course. Thus it would have higher price than a normal pack, like DS+ has. But still it would worth it.

Lounge music and chill out pieces could be a good add on, including ambience and enviroment effects, like well recorded crowds.

As a matter of fact recorded crowds and places can be useful for existing DS+ places, like a hospital for example or a school.

As an example try to listen to Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines sounds in the hospital. It will show you what I mean. ;)

I can dream right? I will probably keep dreaming for such a thing but hey! We got some casino tiles for more vivid colored tilesets out there and it is awesome.

Feedback:

Pop horror City: I want this. This can create fantastic things.

Sci-Fi Battler Pack: Seems interesting, not my cup of tea but really interesting.

Adventure Journey: Well this is interesting. Very anime like style music, that is a good thing for an RPG game and it seems that it is a great add on for people not thinking of putting their music in their game, or can't create music.

Samurai Classics: I find this music fantastic. Samurais are not something I am interested at, but I can appreciate a well themed set of music pieces.

Definitely Interstellar craft.  We lack over world and title sets for them.
^ took the words right out of my mouth. Or, well, fingers. Whatever, you know what I mean.

But amazing content, If I wasn't so broke I'd definetly buy the pop horror city one!

Vexed's resource pack looks awesome! More of her resources would be great!

I third Victorian style resources. ^^

In the meantime, maybe someone might be interested to work on a RM2k3 resource pack, since there is an official release of the engine now? ^^

I think a resource pack focused on Atmosphere and Effects would be nice. These are resources that could be used to create the "general feel" and "thematic ambiance" of a game which could particularly help in terms of artistic and professional presentation.

Another idea would a resource pack wholly devoted to Parallax Backgrounds (with accompanying animations).

I also noticed that Official "Technical Education" Resources are not given much attention relative to other types of resources (such graphics, music etc ..). There are only two purchasable materials at the moment:  Kain Vinosec's Guide on RPG Maker Audio and Ms. Celianna's Parallax Mapping Guide.

I hope this particular suggestion is just fine .. since .. well, you could say that teaching can be an art in itself.

The ability to use resources (such as graphics, music and the like) is as important (or is probably more important) than the tangible resources themselves. Such ability can be directly increased through such technical materials.  Such materials could help lessen "technical confusions" so that one can better focus on just creating.

I don't have an exact ETA yet, but we're working very hard on making them available as soon as possible. It's one of our top priorities at the moment! :)

I would like to see more sprites of Dryads, Satyrs, Nymphs. Also Gnomes and Dwarfs. Also battle animations, cant have too many battle animations. :D

For music, Celtic style music has always been a favourite of mine. But I would also like to see more middle eastern/oriental music as well.

@cant_think_of_a_name had a good theme idea.

Edit: I edited my original post #65 adding what the musicians shoud do. I wrote only for graphics yesterday, now I fine tune it and just wanted to inform everyone.

Finally got Vexed's pack now that it's on the forum store.  Wow!  There's a lot more stuff in this pack than I was expecting!  This is going to be really fun to play with.  It's really beautifully made, I'm impressed.

Man, POP looks amazing, I love that artstyle. I only fear that I'm going to run into the same problem as I had with Pixel Myth as I bought it, looks awesome and it's nice to support and artist, but doesn't work too well with other styles. I really hope we'll see some more :)

To anyone who's got it, are there any lab tiles? I really need those as well as normal soldier sprites. If they're there I'll be more than happy to get it.

Anyway, something that I'd like to see - more modern / 20th century resources, there are very few around. Retro suits, mafia battlers, WW soldiers and machinery like retro tanks. I'm a big history nerd so I'd love to see some stuff like that.

No lab tiles, no scientist looking people.  I wouldn't be surprised if that was her next pack though.

Ah, shame. I'm guessing I could come up with something though, maybe those kitchen tiles could be converted? I'm a pretty good photoshopper.

Anyway, I'll get it anyway. I love pixel art. :3

Btw, any ETA on your next pack? I'd love to get some more Pixel Myth stuff ;)

Yep, sorry. No lab tiles just yet. However there is a "facility" set for the interiors that could be used to make some creepy... well, facilities.

I'm already working on more character sprites for release at a later date and soldiers/scientists are certainly on the to-do list. And laboratory tiles are on my (increasingly large) list too, though I can't say right now what order I'll be doing things in or when they may see a release.

If anyone else has any suggestions for things they'd like to see in this style in terms of add-ons etc. please let me know. I'm taking notes! :D

More Sprites/Faces would certainly be welcome. Maybe even sprites holding a weapon (pistole, chainsaw, knife..). Laboratory/Hospital/Asylum tiles would be great (plus a morgue). Other suggestions: Truck vehicle, trees without leafs, tree with needles, cliffs. I don't think, nature tiles are your focus, but something to make a spooky forest or park could be interesting. Or an abandonded lighthouse and docks, bridges, cell doors, barred windows/doors, stuff for a library, more signs (like exit, motel, danger etc.) vending machines, sewer canals/underground and more military stuff (barricades, barbed wire, weapon rack, weapon caches).

Hope I found something for your notes. I also missed animated chests (or boxes), animated fire (like for coming out of windows, cars or barrels) and animated smoke (for chimneys).

I really like this set. Its my favorite on this site. But to make a game there are not enough Charsets/ faces.

some suggestions would be police officers, weapon shop owner, Gang Members (maybe bikes too :) ), Hookers, office people and a bunch of normal looking people (business. etc). and some zombie versions of these.

Candacis has a lot of ideas for tilesets. in addition to that i would like to see some tiles for a supermarket (shopping center), gasstation,  trainstation, bus stop, train/ bus (outside and inside), airport. Maybe even some mafia related stuff (Chinese restaurant :D ) or some tiles for a redlight district.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
