Portraits and Full Body Pictures

Hey,

I am looking for Portraits of the characters in VXACE as well a full body picture.
IS there any downloadable file that will have all the characters with what I am requesting? or am i just having to salvage from google images???

Do you mean of the RTP characters? If so, you're a bit out of luck. Official portraits were only given to those who pre-ordered VX and Ace. You'll find some bits here and there, but you'll mostly come across unofficial artwork.

I got my hands on the the old VX Ace busts by just asking Archeia and showing her proof of purchase. At least, I think it was Archeia I asked. Though, that was a long time ago, not sure if she'd be able to help now.

Yeah, it sucks. Degica was the one that handled all that, but now that Kadakowa that owns the brand it might be in some legal limbo to get to. You might get lucky and ask one of the mods and show them a proof of purchase and they'll send you the files or asking someone here that might have them. Otherwise, there's a couple of great fan-made ones that are pretty good. Archia made some for the Ace characters here and GrandmaDeb made a list of them here.

I bought mine off Steam, so hopefully that isn't a issue. I want official portraits to use because I really don't want to be taking from google images since I do want to publish this game eventually.

If you want to sell the game someday I'd suggest not using the ACE RTP characters, those have been so overused now that the first thing someone on Steam would rip your game for is using them.

Well some of us like myself aren't character crafty. So I am just going to use it anyways ha ha ha If they rip my game apart and not try for the story line then so be it I guess. Not sure what else to say!

Shame the Ace generator is kinda crappy, you could've made original characters using that. There's some really good character art creators out there. Probably can't link them here, though.

Archeia has done several portraits of the RTP characters.

@The Stranger If those are free and don't contain ripped graphics, I don't see why you couldn't share them.

@slimmmeiske2 It's a program that lets people easily create their own character art (busts, portraits, and other such things) without needing to be an artist; it uses a large library of body parts, clothing, etc. It's free if you want to run it in your browser, but the desktop version requires some sort of payment or subscription, which is why I thought it'd be wrong to share a link publicly.

I understand, I'm not either. Just a comment that you may need to instead hire an artist if you want it to stand out enough on Steam. Now if you don't intend to sell on steam there are places where people only sell RPGMaker games and the audience there doesn't care as much, it may work there.

@The Stranger : Oh, yes the good old ACE generator. We had a contest where people hit random on that thing then made games with those creations. You can get some really hilarious results that way.

@bgillisp I remember that contest. Playing those games gave me a good laugh. You can still get some pretty silly results in the MV generator, but it pales in comparison to what the Ace generator could give birth to. xD

@LucasRiot I removed the images in your post, please don't post resources if you don't know the creator. It could be against their terms to re-post or to use the resources in certain projects, and you can't know if that's the case if you aren't sure who made it.
