ok loving this plugin, works well with prettier gauges. One request...while I was able to do this by modifying the source JS, would be better as a parameter.

Let us choose who much to crop of the portrait. Right now its 110x142. I changed it to 142x142 so it could be a nice square.

Erikmidnatt > Thanks! Yes it should work well with prettier gauges too. I totally agree about the crop of the portrait, it's a great idea to let people control that. I go make an update right now.

Mathwe > Thanks! But what do you mean by "then you has status up magic its not displayed on the character"? It is not clear to me. Maybe you can send me screenshots of what you mean?

To all others who liked it, thank you!!! I really appreciate all your positive support. It makes me want to develop more plugins for the community.

Michael thanks for the update but I don't think we can use portraits for single party member even with the line height option because you display the data differently. The default engine shows all the data horizontallly, with yours you stack it vertically. Which doesn't work for a single party member.

(also edit your last posts to add more info instead of double posting to avoid the wrath of the blue text, if you are the last person to comment you aren't allowed a new comment you must edit)

Added another example. One shows the portraits tool with no portraits and line height of 2. Notice you can't see the status. The other is the battle height plugin, height of 2 and you see the status but you can't scale the bars.

Also if i try to use both i get "TypeError Cannot read property 'actorsquantity' of undefined.

I upload the pics on my twitter account, so i hope this is okay, left one is normal battle. The icon behind the name and before the bars is a att up icon, that doesen´t show then i use potraits, maybe it give a plugin from yanfly to show it above the character sprites?

New project, just the portraits plugin, and the stats are not on screen. Keep in mind by default your portraits plugin changes how stats are displayed. Normally they are horizontal, and you stacked them vertically.

Here are screenshots of a clean project with 1 party member, portraits off, set to line 2, and line 3. I think this show what I mean.

I think I Figured it out. I didn't have the position each bar independantly option on. That should fix it! And it did :)

You portraits plugin is more like a battle status plugin since you can move the bars around and scale them, very useful thanks!

Supporting those icons would be killer!

erikmidnatt > Yes this is very easy to not see where things are, because they cannot appear outside of the battlestatus window, so they are hidden if your values are too high or too different from the default ones. And of course you need to enable that option :) I am glad it is working now!
Meantime, I released Portraits v.1.6, with full support for icons ;)

UPDATE! For version 1.6 please head over here instead: http://www.filedropper.com/portraits_11

ADDED:

-Support for icons (like buff/debuff).

Well it is not the best one :) But I agree that it really adds something nice to the HUD. This is why I did it in the first place. A LOT of other plugins are way more complicated or valuable than mine, but maybe just less graphically visible.

Thanks for helping me debugging it and making it better via testing! If you ever have some other suggestions, just let me know.

Tested the updated plugin. Icons work nicely but could use some improvement. For example I stacked 8 statuses (mix of buffs and defuffs) on the character and only 4 showed up.

Secondly, I really like the feature to not show names. However if you dont' show names the selection cursor is still just one bar tall, so it looks weird. Would be great to have the option to make that cursor match the height of the battle guages. (this would make it seem like you are selecting the character, and their stats and I think it would be very clear where the cursor is.

ALso the ability to show the statuses at the bottom of the portrait would be great so they don't cover their eyes up. I was able to manually position everything and start the icons closer to the bottom. But I guess I would have to see how it works when you show more than 4. Might be OK.

was able to hide a single classes MP bar by putting the Yanfly skill core plugin after this one. Normally I had it above but then it won't hide the MP bar.

Hours later, another idea. How about a name offset?

Sorry for the delay.

1-Yes, for now it works only with 4 status icons. I will check what I can do about it.

2-I know, but I am not sure if an easy fix is possible. I will have to dig into it a bit deeper.

3-When I'll do 1- I will do my best to take care about 3-.

A name offset would be nice indeed, however technically it seems a bit more complicated for the name.

I'll check this as soon as I have some free time and update if I manage to "fix" any point.

Hi, basically, yes I used it :) It was my very first RPG Maker plugin, and your Enhanced Menu System plugin was the first and only one I've found pointing me out in the right direction about how to show faces. I only kept the necessary code, and built over that by myself. Not sure about what you mean for the link though, maybe you can PM me and explain me a bit more? I want to see your new features! :D Keep it up.

So this plugin was working great for me, until I put in the ATB plugin that yours has compatibility with. I set to 1 the option to allow for compatibility, and the gauges all display okay, but the portraits don't show anymore. Help?
