Im running on the newest version of Rpg Maker MV, which is 1.3.5, or so I believe.
Edit: I do not have any plugins or scripts, aside from the save_pos that Shaz created, at least I believe it was him/her?
Edit 4: There were no errors generated
I do apologize in advance if this has already been noted. I did try to search the forums for something like this and didn't find anything on it.
I was trying to create a kid under the character generator, and one of the hairstyles has a bug.
When using the hairstyle shown in the pictures below, the downward facing character has a redish bow on the back of her hair regardless of the sub color chosen, yet the other ones, left, right, and upward, will change when the sub color does.

Just wanted to point this out if this hasn't been noted yet
Edit 2: I tried to add my project, but it does not attach, it will not recognize it
Edit 3: I receive this error when trying to add the project:
"The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension.

Game.rpgproject"

Edit 5: I hope this isn't ignored just because I can't figure out how to get the project uploaded, if I am doing it wrong, can you let me try again or such or maybe inform me what exactly to send since I can't just send the project, I just can't figure out how to upload my project, and zipping it doesn't go under the minimum requirement.
This can be recreated from a straight up new project though, if that counts as anything.

The generator is outside of the projects, it's settings are saved independently of a project - and game.rpgproject doesn't contain any data anyway, it just contains the redirects to tell the editor what is where and is identical for all projects.

Gotcha, then is this the right format for such a bug?

Additionally, nothing you do in your project, and no plugins, have the ability to change what happens in the editor, including the character generator. So this has nothing to do with what plugins you have.

You can fix this yourself, if you want, while waiting for an official fix. In the character generator folder, there will be one file for the main color and one file for each of the subcolors. I am guessing you just need to cut/paste from the one image to the other, or if it's already in the subcolor image, just cut it from the main color image.

Alrighty then. As long as you guys know about it, that's all I was going for.

Edit: That was quite a simple fix, didn't think it would be that easy but I've got it fixed for myself. It was as simple as editing a few pixels in one file.
And just taking a look at the character creation files, that's rather nifty how they have it set up, I must say. Never really looked how they did it before, but that's pretty nifty.

Just remember to save those files away if there's an MV update (save them away now if you're using Steam, as you might not get notified in time when an update happens), otherwise you'll have to make the change again, unless it's been fixed.

He mad, but he cute :kaopride:

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
