Yes, hello.

I seem to be having an issue with the tilesets.

I was using the Inside_B tileset as a board for my ladders and I tried to apply the changes to RPG Maker MV, but it did not apply the changes.

What I am trying to do-

(Here's the link to the page for a bigger image - )

The yellow ladder and the orange stairs are what I am trying to use.

Yet, my tileset refuses to change.
As it still looks like this, even with the edits.

What the problem is-

(Link for bigger picture - )

I do not understand what the problem is.

As you can see, in my Database, the ladder is yellow and the stairs are orange.
Yet, the project still has a silver ladder and concrete stairs.

I shut down RPG Maker, didn't fix it.

I tested the other slots for problems, they worked fine.

(I also have a basic grasp on tileset slots. I know which goes where. I just placed Inside_B in the A3 out of frustration. Sorry for the confusion.
But, Zone 0_B is the same as the default Inside_B, only differences are the yellow ladder and orange stairs.)

I made sure that it was a PNG file and not anything else, it is.

I've applied it many times, attempted to 'refresh' the tileset. Yet, it refuses to budge.

I even changed it to SF_Inside_B. It still wouldn't move. The tileset isn't even showing the changes to Inside_B.

(Zone 0_B is just a slightly edited version of Inside_B.)

No matter which tileset I try, it will not change the tileset. Even if I am not using it.
This is the problem.

Do I have to restart my computer? Is this some kind of unpatched bug?

Any advice would help!

Thanks for Reading.

Your description is a bit confusing, and it doesn't help that you cropped the tileset screenshot and omitted important information as a result.

However, some mistakes are already obvious from the first screenshot.
There are six different tilesheet formats - A1, A2, A3, A4, A5 and one format for B-E tilesheets.
Each sheet will only work correctly if it is placed in the correct slot - Inside_B can never work in the A3 slot where you placed it, it needs to be placed into one of the B-E-slots, that is why there is a B in its name.

other than that there is the question which tileset you're constructing and which tileset you're using on the map - have you checked that?
You unfortunately never gave a screenshot of the map properties where the tileset that is used for that specific map can be checked, and you cropped the tileset numbers/names from those screenshots as well - my best guess is that you set the map to a different tileset than the one you defined in this place.

Tried to make my problem clearer, fixed the images too.
I was pretty tired when I posted this. Apologies.

It looks like your map is using a completely different tileset to what you've got selected in the editor. Just look at where the ladders are on the B tab in the editor, and where they are on the map palette.

The tilesheet in your editor is from the Inside tilesheet image, and the one on your map is from the Outside tilesheet image.

You're looking at tileset 7 in the editor, but I bet if you go into your map properties (right-click on the map name and choose Properties), it will be using tileset 2 - Outside.

It Worked!

I guess I need to learn to use properties in maps and not just the database.

Thanks for solving my issue! :D

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
