Possible to have an ABS with custom weapon ranges? [Ace]

I'm working on a project with combat similar to Rune Factory's (zelda-style), and was wondering if it was possible to modify an existing ABS script to allow for differently sized weapons, like a polearm vs. a sword or staff, etc. Example link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hxt4I4BTZY0 (compare the weapon hitboxes + size at 5:15 and 7:18)

(Ideally, there would be an existing script that allowed for this, but I haven't found one yet.)

I originally started out using Khas's Sapphire Action System, but the weapon graphic was pulled from the weapon's icon, which was too small and a fixed size. So far, I haven't figured out how to either make it reference something else, or somehow enlarge the icon when it's drawn on the screen. If that's even possible orz

It doesn't have to be a modification to Khas's script, I would appreciate any guidance on what direction to head on, any links to possibly helpful scripts (I was thinking of switching to Falcao's for an unrelated reason), or even just to know if this is possible. Thanks!

Is there a problem with falcaos script?

Also, im pretty sure XAS has that but its a pretty advanced script.

Your question shouldn't be about "being possible", because almost anything is possible... if there is someone with knowledge and willing to do.

You should want to know if there is something already available to do this. This is not something that the make can do by default, so, unless you have advanced scripting knowledge, you simply won't be able to do.

Search for other scripts that have the features you desire.

Ah, sorry for the bad word choice and thank you for the feedback. I'm in the process of looking, but hadn't come up with anything so far when I made the topic.

yeah, try XAS... AFAIK, Falcao's only support normal range for melee weapons, at least visually since it uses weapon icons...

Falcao can have infinite range for any melee weapon (like a lance that stretches to 10 tiles). You can use the default icon, or a custom sprite sheet, but the size of the sprite will probably be limited to ~2-3 tiles.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
