Possible to make a normal attack determine damage via game data when a certain weapon is used?

For example, if I wanted to make something akin to Final Fantasy V's Chicken Knife, where the damage dealt to the enemy with a normal attack is determined by how many times you have run from battle - more escapes = more damage.

I know I can call stuff like this with a Skill and the damage formula box, but what I want is for a weapon to cause the normal attack to call such a formula. Is it possible to do this?

There are scripts that let you change your basic attack depending on things like equipped weapon. I'll point to Yanfly's >here<.

Simply make a skill with the desired damage formula, and tag your weapon so that it'll use that skill instead of the regular attack.

Aha! That's perfect! Now I just need to figure out the formula for what I want to do...

RMMV
May I suggest a hard-coded variable increase each time Escape Processing happens?

And then have the damage formula use that in it.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
