I figured we need a music thread~

Post any of your own music in this topic, either complete songs, or songs you're still working on. Doesn't matter if they're old or new, or how they've been created.

All feedback, commentary and discussion for songs posted in this thread is encouraged!

Hi everyone,

First post, and makes sense it would be in a music thread :) . Looking forward to have more to do with the RPG Maker community :)

Blodeuyn: I liked how you slowly built up Painting the Universe, very calming.

Archeia: Cool! Very J-RPG :) I particularly like the melody that comes in about half-way through.

And here are some of my own offerings

In the Air Where Travellers Dare to Go

RPG Battle Theme (this was written for an AGS game)

Zombies (a more modern style piece)

Thanks for creating this thread! I write music for an audio drama called The Cleansed, it's a post-apocalyptic sci-fi tale. The great advantage to working on this project is that the program allows me to write in any genre. I prefer traditional scoring for an orchestra but I also enjoy dabbling in elements of electronica. Please visit my blog for a collection of links to my work that features music and sound design.  I also had fun on a personal project where I produced an audio drama version of the prologue to Game of Thrones with original music and sound design.  I welcome any opportunity to work with the creative community here.

Thought I'd contribute and take the time to post a few of the tracks I've made that I feel I have a personal attachment to.

https://soundcloud.com/scythuz/cowboy-battle-theme?in=scythuz/sets/free  - Inspired by Wild Arms 5 and Clint Eastwood :p

https://soundcloud.com/scythuz/michael?in=scythuz/sets/week-of-music-collection - Sometimes you just want to write something that gives you mega feels

https://soundcloud.com/scythuz/viking-village-theme-improved - Uses my favourite wind instrument, a sheep bone flute (yes you read that right!)

Look forward to hearing what fun tracks the other composers have made!

Why was this abandoned? This was an awesome sounding track!

Interesting thread. I guess I'll be rooting out some oldbies from years past.

Attitudes of Mind - This was an experimental piece that played around a bit with time signatures. About 3 years old this is.

Midnight Digression - I should probably upload this to SoundCloud. This was played live, and I made this 3 years ago back in college. It was a birthday present for a friend, she wanted a piece from me. xD

Show Me Your Moves - This is a interesting one. About 4 years ago in my first year of college, one of our assignments had us create a piece using ONLY audio. We learned about cutting up audio and manipulating it. So I used various different game soundtracks and vocal clips to create this thing.

Keeping it simple is nice. This is still in mega beta, but I like it so far.

EDIT: Here's an updated version. Mixing needs a lot o' work, but it's getting there. (and that's almost definitely gonna be the title of this song!) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/66339363/GettingThere.ogg

EDIT 2: And here's the finished one sans mixing and probably a few more instruments. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/66339363/GettingThereUnmixed.ogg

I would post my stuff, but it's all remasters and a couple of very subtle remixes.  If I ever really come up with any of my own original tracks, I'll post them here, though more than likely they'll be in ReStaff instead. lol

So I downloaded the Rytmik audio studio software...thing for my 3DS a while back.  Started experimenting with it a bit and eventually came up with something kinda neat.

And check it.  If any of you, for some reason, wanna use this for something in your game or whatever you're doing?  Bam.  I made a looped version for y'all.  Enjoy profusely.

The best music you can have for your game is something that is specifically made for the moment in the game or place. A song can tell a lot about a character or place. Soooo...if anyone wants. I can be the composer for you! I'll mainly make MIDI music, but if you are really really dedicated to finishing the game I can make some mp3s too.

Here's a song I've written for my band. I'm currently writing for a game I'm making myself since I can't find anyone to work with at the moment. If you're interested give me an email. Have a good day :)

Boring: Using RPG Maker's default inventory function.
Based: Using SRD's Skill Extender to make submenus that split up items based on their use.

... Also I plan to use this for containing different levels of the same skill into one place.

I just saw someone's post that had an instagram link. I have yet to be able to open that site up once, ever, or have an embed of it work (it just straight up won't show either of them). And I haven't really found a reason to try to fix the problem, either XD
I want to go play piano now. This is gonna be my stopping point today (yes, I’m very slow at drafting). Might have a few too many curly Qs? Obviously gotta finish the limbs and clean up. There are a few more outfit details I need to add. Probably going to do a background so that the pose makes sense, LOL.
