Introduction

This script simply put allows you to run ruby code based on a skill's id and a notetag in the battler's notebox. You can run various calculations or simply just have a text box appear before or during the skill's usage. Code found in a skill's notebox with a similar notetag can be run as well. With the right combination... *see image below*

Features

- Run ruby code prior to skill usage.

- Code can be in actor/enemy/skill noteboxes, battlers are done first, skill 2nd.

How to Use

Place the script below ▼ Materials and above ▼ Main in the script editor. For best results place it below any other scripts that touch the Window_BattleLog's display_use_item method.

Hey, nice idea you have there. I wonder if I could put an image cut-in before skill is executed

Doesn't hurt to test the limits! For example the screenshot in the 1st post was made by setting up a text box, and then setting up an input number command, which allowed me to choose exactly how much damage I could do since the attack in question had the variable as the damage formula. That itself could be used to create a "gold throw" skill. Too bad that's not done when the skill is selected(tried inputting code there, didn't look right in the default battle system)

@thatguywhoneedshelp! If you want some help in setting up/using this script, you need to give a bit of detail of what you are trying to do. Having said that, anyone using this script probably needs to have at least a minimum of scripting knowledge. Not all scripts are plug and play.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
