So a part of this dungeon involves pressing buttons to move storage containers located elsewhere. At the beginning of the puzzle, one button corresponds to one storage container (which is what I'm focusing on at the moment). So, I have each part of the storage container as different events and I tried to link them (and the button) through a conditional branch. When I go to run the game, I go onto the button but the storage container doesn't move.

I am, admittedly, inexperienced. So, I thought to reach out and get some advice on the matter. I have attached pictures in hopes that that would help.
I am sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you and have a great day. :)

Um, to move the box you need to activate that switch that you've used in condition branch. You didn't do that. Switch name is not the same as event name. On button event page, add command "Control Switches" and set that "CargoStorageBox1" switch to ON there.

dont have the button turn on a switch and the switch move the crate.
just have the button event move the crate and then turn on self switch so cant step on it again.

i foresee 1 problem you might run into with this. you will need something to have the crates remember that they have been moved the next time you re-enter this map.
this can be done with either separate events so after the crate moves that event gets turned off while the event it moves into gets turned on. (see screenshots)
or could use a plugin that saves event locations

Hi regarding the 32 bit -> 64 bit
I am running on a 64 bit windows OS and tried doing this conversion. I converted all of the .exe files that I could find in the KADOKAWA\RPGMV folder using the 4gbpatch.exe file. However, after trying to access RPG Maker MV after this conversion, it simply will not load. Do you have any advice or any ideas?
****ing muscle memory: does anyone else habitually quit out of test play when they notice something they """HAVE""" to fix, in spite of the fact that you can now edit DURING test play?
