Custom Gauges
by Rocketmancer

Introduction:

Adds a few options for making gauges prettier.

Features:

  • Change the shape of gauges
  • Change the color of gauges
  • Option to add a border to gauges

Screenshot:

Download:

PrettyGauges.js

Common Issues:

"When I turn it on, the gauges disappear!" - Rename the file to PrettyGauges.js.

"When I turn it on, nothing happens!" - Common cause is YEP_CoreEngine. Put it below YEP_CoreEngine and it will work. If not, there is another plugin modifying the drawGauge function.

I am not a vain man. Use it how you want.

If you encounter any bugs, please let me know.

Is it possible to make a "half and half" gauge with this? Like left side standard and right side slanted

Updated to include this. The barType option has been changed to accept ||, //, <>, (), or any combination of these. For example, this one would be |/.

If you set the updated version to "/|" it comes up with this (see attached).

I don't think this is working as intended, but I actually REALLY like how it looks!

Thanks. Was an issue with using / for the left side. Updated.

Huh, when I turn this on the gauges don't show up at all, just the numbers, but when I turn it off, the default gauges are there again. Any help?

Edit: Nevermind, I just renamed the file, cuz I had a typo, and it works perfectly! Thanks so much!

What settings are you using for it? It will fail to draw the bar if barType isn't a valid combination.

Not sure what to say about this, could be a paranoid A/V. Does it give any details on why?

Security essentials thinks its Virus spursint.A when downloaded via chrome or IE. I don't get the same issue when downloading via firefox.

and if i download it with firefox, or like i said make the file myself manually and scan it afterwards, there is no warning or error. When I looked at the contents of the file I didn't see anything so I wasn't worried, just wanted to share in case someone else ran into the issue.

thanks again.
