Prevent Resurrection?

Hello everyone! 


I meed your help! 


Is there any function to stop resurrection in battle?


In my case, there is a Boss,that uses a skill, which kills you instantly but preventing you to be resurrected by like a Phoenix Down or something else...


Can you help me? Hope you understand me ty

In RMMV, there is option for this. You have to go to database------->click actor's list 'traits'-------->go to other------>set collapse effect to disappear.


I'll check if there is such a way in RMVX Ace.

You didnt really unterstand what I wanted ^^


I need a function that if, the boss is killing a party member, that an ither party member cant resurrect the dead one...

In RMMV there's option 'dissapear'. In VX,unfortunately, there isn't such an option(only boss, normal and not dissapear). Sorry for trouble.

Tech support is for getting the editors to run, not for help in game development.


Make a state that seals all skills that can resurrect and apply them to the actor at the beginning of the boss battle - that will prevent them from resurrecting with skills.


As for preventing resurrection by item, that is a little more difficult.


For each item that can resurrect, make a dummy item of the same name that has no function. Better make then non-consumable as well or the player will loosem on trying.


Then before the boss battle, use control variable to check how many of each item are in inventory, use change item to replace them with the dummy item, and return them after the battle.


Or you would have to request a script that does this, for example controlled by a switch.

Revival works by removing the death state and (usually) restoring some hp. When an actor's health hits 0, the death state is applied automatically. Since you can't 'resist' state removal, you kinda have to work around it. You could remove the actor from battle entirely with the enemy's skill, which isn't that difficult honestly, or maybe use a different state to mimic the death state. Victor has a script that already covers this I believe.

Since resurrection skills/items only usually remove state #1, a new death state should be immune to them.
