Unfortunately I'm not a programmer. I apologize that I can't help here.
Mockups:
There would be an extra option in the window where you can select a battleback (the way it works is exactly the same as how you would chose a battle back for troops)/parralax. When you slide the slider, it will change the tint on the preview image along with it.
Why is this feature good?
This feature is great because of the following:
Possible issues with this feature?
Issues that might arise from this feature:
- Currently, even with the color slide tones to the side of the window. It is actually hard to judge just what the tint screen colors will turn out exactly in game.
- Having some sort of preview function would make adding in the right color of tint easier and more efficient for the user applying them. Instead of having to play test the game every time, not getting the right mood, tweaking the numbers and repeat the whole process again many times till they get the right one. There could be an image with the tint overlay at one side to give a better gimps on the actual result of the tint.

Why is this feature good?
This feature is great because of the following:
- Streamlines the game making process for the user using tints.
- Improves user friendliness for users who have a hard time visualizing resulting colors without a more direct visual representation.
Possible issues with this feature?
Issues that might arise from this feature:
- Implementing a realtime changing tint on preview image as the user slides the sliders around might need a lot of additional coding?
