Hey everyone, its been a while since I posted a question here!

I'm using Yanfly's Extended Message Pack 1 plugin to manually position my message boxes using the \msgposy[x] and
\msgposy[y] commands. My game is designed so that there is no fixed location for message boxes but they appears anywhere on the screen depending on the events taking place.

Is there any way to preview the message position on screen for each message without the need to start a test play? It it becoming time consuming to start and restart test plays to check if message positions are correct.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

There is a relatively obscure feature in MV that allows you to playtest (part of) a single event.
Select the event commands you wish to test (press Ctrl+A to select all of them) and then press Ctrl+R to test them.

Do note that this uses a blank map with no other events, so this might not work for you if you need those other events to check if your message boxes are positioned correctly.

You can right-click on an event and I think you get a Test Event option - not sure if that's the same thing as mentioned above.

Playtest with events may not load the database the same way, so some plugins may not function correctly.

Oh, I never knew there was such a feature! Thank you both.

Oh, I didn't know you could test multiple event commands with the test function. Thanks, @Jules98 for mentioning it!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
