The game works flawlessly on test mode and unencrypted export but if i add the option to encrypt files then i start getting errors of "file not found".

Is not 1 file either, its several as i tried to replace the "missing" image files (which are in their respective folders, properly named) but every time i replace and refresh its another file it asks for i gave up at the 20th file as it defeats the encryption purpose at this point.

i tried with a new test project, exported with encryption and everything worked normally its this specific project that somehow screws up when using this export option.

If anyone has any idea of what could be happening please help me find out.

You do mention "properly named," just confirming that means "no spaces, etc. according to HTML conventions."

Are the core scripts for your project fully updated? I see a similar problem here:

two different possibilites:

First, that error also happens if the files are not missing but part of the folderpath toward the files breaks the networking rules.
If you can give one full path (from driveletter to the filename) then we can check for that.
But the path needs to start with the drive letter, boith the "this computer" shortcut from windows and the abbreviated error message of the missing file do not contain the critical part for this.

The second option is that you added a plugin that uses the wrong load function, the one that only works with non-encrypted files.
I(n that case you'll have to find the plugin and have it modified to use the correct load function

Will look further into this as all the files that "arent there" so far are single named, no space images, so ill be sorting plugins for a while.

Is there a commonality between what functions would be loading them? e.g. they're all skill animations or something?

I wasn't just talking about the filenames

a folderpath like
"c:\my projects\game\img\picture.png"

will cause the same error despite the picture file having a correct name, because ot the space in the upper part.
And that will only be detected on deployment because the playtest overrides the true path with a pseudopath, exactly to prevent those error messages.

I dont use spaces in folder paths or files specially since RM can get finicky with it

C:\Users\BK\Documents\MG_0184_DEMO\Output\Demo\www\img\

The error is on various folders and files but there's no spaces on any ofthem and this error only happens if i toggle encryption, not for the direct deployment :kaoswt2:

So far only "images" being the common factor, tho since i havent been to the main screen i cant know for sure if audio files are unnafected, im rolling back some plugins i put between the last version and this one meanwhile as that's the only big change i've done.

in that case please open the rpg_core.js file with a text editor and check the title line for the version number.

The error with the wrong loading functions on a plugin would only affect the resources loaded through that specific plugin, and that is usually a very small number of files.

Theoretically it is possible that you have an incompatible preloading plugin affecting all files, but usually when that happens for a lot of files then it is not a plugin but the engine itself using the wrong function. And that can only happen with a version conflict in the core files.

Solved, chalk it to faulty plugin functionality as i've been experimenting a lot lately specially with image compression and preloading, thank you guys for the hints and assistance :kaoluv:

In the end I choose near over shoulder resembles RE4. Tight close window better. The correlation between battleback, monster style and battler should also be observed and merged.
