I just started to practice making rpg maker game, I started with my character sleeping and waking up, however when I test the game it shows player starting position is not set

That is because the player starting position is NOT an event.
right-click on the map and set startting position for player.

the vehicles can stay without a starting position, but the party/player position needs to be set

but if I set starting position ,there will be 2 characters there.

yes, that is why you either have to make the event or the party invisible.
but your game cannot work without a player starting position

An event does not need to have a sprite - you can place the party where you want and then have the event do the show text and whatever from elsewhere.

Otherwise you won't have any control because the player can only move the party, not events.

Thank you , I have seen and understood a bit, but when I set starting position, I don't know how to make the character lie down and wake up.

Exactly as Andar said above - you make the character invisible. Set Movement Route -> Player -> Change Opacity.

Then you make the event image do whatever you want, as you've already set it up.

Then at the end you make the event go to a page with no image and restore the player's opacity.

Omg i succeeded , i was able to switch to player and move , just one small problem is that the place the event character after moving it was blocked my player cant go through , its ok so thank you so much ^^

Try Setting "Through" to "on" on the event. That should allow the player to pass through with no problems.

Try Setting "Through" to "on" on the event. That should allow the player to pass through with no problems.
You can do that, but it's better practice to make all blank event pages (like your page 3 shown in your first post) to have priority Below Characters. (unless you're intentionally creating some kind of barrier)

That's why I recommended re-going through some tutorials, those are basic settings you want to be familiar with.

You could just as well use the event, and turn "start transparent" on in the system tab of your database (f9).

Then after the intro scene, hide the event (by turning onba self-switch, and putting that switch in the conditions of a new, empty page in that event), and show the player (by turning transparent off)

I find it very usefult to use events in scenes, while hiding the player. But I guess that it is each their own. See what you like better.

Well, my cat died. Just had a feeling something was off, and went to check.
Someone abandoned her a while ago when she was pregnant, and she wandered into my yard.
Took her to the vet, and did all the usual stuff, making sure she had all the shots and no one was looking for her.
She had the kittens. I kept 1, and found a home for the rest. (Continued because of the limit)
Most disappointing adult event: buying a house that no one comes to on Halloween.

Most redeeming adult event: having a kid to take out trick-or-treating again.
