Problem with choices

I'm creating a game project lately and been stuck when making choices.

So, in this game there is an event like at test. I put about 20 questions in there and make choices for each question.

The problem is, the choices on the first question always not showing properly if I put long sentence. But, the choices for the rest of questions is showing properly even if I put longer sentence than before. Can you please help me?

Well, I couldn't find anything too... different, in both eventing windows.

But did you do anything, really, anything different in any of these two when it was getting close to make a choice?

Are you using any message or choice scripts?


Works okay for me with those choices.

Nothing different between two choices. Just the content of the choices.
I use Yanfly's Message System script.

Disable that script in your game and see if the problem still happens. Just to make sure it IS that script that's causing it.

Have you correctly configured the messaging script?


I know it contains code that give you the option to set the width of text windows by variable, which means if you don't configure it the default variable will change the size of text windows even when you intend to use it for something different.


I don't know if that default variable also affects the width of the show choices window, but that would be my first guess looking for the cause of that bug.


A lot of people asked for help not knowing why their text windows became small (or zero) when using that messaging script, simply because they never configured it - you can't simply copy and ignore every script, some need to be configured before use.

It's turned out that it works fine without that script.
But, I still need it to make actor's name window above the message window.

Yes, I never configured it, because I don't know how to and don't think that I need to.
If there is problem with variables on script, why it didn't affect other choices? Why just affect the first choices?
I'm sorry if I'm wrong. I'm just a newbie and still don't know many things about script.

I'm sorry if I'm wrong. I'm just a newbie and still don't know many things about script.
Probably because you changed the variable that affects it somewhere after the first choice is made.
Please follow the link "How to use a script" in my signature, that tutorial will tell you all options you need to check when configuring a script, and how to bughunt if that is not enough to solve your problem.
