This topic has been solved by ksjp17 :D

I really do need some help here, I'm getting stumped...

I have Poison as it started, I haven't touched it at all.

But it refuses to constantly deal damage to my party. I'm not sure what I did to stop it, it may have to do with one of my scripts or not.

Has anyone else encountered this problem before?

Either a problem with your state or a problem with one of your scripts; there's nothing wrong with this area of the engine.

What scripts are you using?  Try removing/disabling them one at a time and seeing if that causes the problem to disappear.

What does your state look like in the editor?  Show us a screenshot.

This is what I have, it really doesn't seem like anything is wrong with it, but still doesn't work. I double checked my characters resist states and such, everything should work.

I'm one by one - removing my scripts to see what the problem is. (I did backup my script data in a different folder.)

[EDIT] I added the poison effect by an event.

You did not set any removal conditions. It has no auto-removal timing either, and no duration in turns. This means it only lasts one turn.

Just now tried adding:

[Auto-removal Timing: Turn End]

[Duration in Turns: 3 ~ 3]

Still didn't work.

I tried Wavelength's idea about possibly a script and found out that when I removed a specific script, it was working again, but don't understand why it would stop poison.

I removed "XaiL System - Attribute System" and my poison started to work again. I'll have to look into this script; it's needed for my game.

The script is found here: http://www.rpgmakervxace.net/topic/6598-xs-attribute-system/

[To Web Staff] Sorry about how this became a codding problem, I didn't think it would.

Duration in turns: 3-3

Remove auto removal timing. See if that works.

Tried that: didn't work. :/

Everything works whenever I remove that script, before and after this post.

I may have to find a new Attribute System script if I can't find out what's wrong.

One thing to point out: Having nothing set for the removal conditions means it stays forever, until removed by an object. I use that for many of my states and have no issues. So the issue is not the conditions.

Edit: If it is the attribute script, see if it has any changes to how slip damage is applied or how HP regenerate is done. If it did, that would explain your issue.

If you do have to change scripts this one might be a good replacement.  I have used it and found it very reliable.

I'll check it out, it does look promising and simpler than the previous script. I'll install it, try it out, and come back to see if this problem had been fixed or not.

Thank you so much for this suggestion. :)

EDIT: It works wonderfully! I love it much more than my previous selection and it fixed my poison problem. Thank you for the help, ksjp17, this really helped! ^_^

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
