Problem with transfer events

(Just an FYI, this is my first post here...)
So I'm working on a game, and I'm having a bit of a problem w/ the transfer system. For some reason, whenever I try and transfer the character outside of the area you start in, he ends up getting stuck at the end point and refuses to move an inch. All you can do is turn them around. I can't get him to go forward.
And it's not the game freezing up at all, I can see the Npc's I set to move walking around, So I have no idea what's going on here.
Can I please have some help?

Um... Just found out that the starting area is actualy the only place that the character can move in at all! :eek:

Hi and welcome! I've merged your posts together, as we ask members not to double post (That is, post, when you were the last person to post. Bumping after 72 hours is an exception.). You can always edit your post to add more info.

As for you problem, I'm not real familiar with 2k3 but it sounds similar to the the other engines when there is a problem with the passability settings for the tileset. If 2k3 has that as well, make sure the tiles you are on are set to be passable.

Oops... I had made the paths impassable w/out even realizing.

If other events in other areas can move around, but your character can't, it's possible you have an autorun event active somewhere - either on the map or a common event (assuming 2K3 has those).

Can you access the menu at these times? If you can (and if events on the new map can't move), it's likely to be passage settings on your tileset. If you can't access the menu, it's probably an autorun. Even autorun events and common events that have no commands will cause the player to freeze if they're active.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
