I tried installing Yanfly's Event Chase Player and Event Chase Stealth. The first one works fine, but the other one doesn't work at all. I asked a friend of mine who knows much better RPG Maker MV than me (I only have 30 hours) to see if I was doing something wrong with the plugin and he says that it's probably because of an update of the RPG Maker MV.
Do anybody know something about it?

PS: Sorry about the necroposting on the other thread. Looks like I skipped that rule.

did you watch the video? did you place the plugin UNDER Event chase player? do you use other plugins?
are those in the right order? Do you use plugin commands? which can be include in common events.

It should work correctly if you watch the video and read the help file carefully.
if the plugin commands doesn't work, try script calls of it :)

^ This; recommended order of Yanfly's plugins can be found here: http://yanfly.moe/yep/

You can edit the values of any plugin parameters via the Plugin Manager (double-click).

Event Chase Stealth does not implement line-of-sight. It does compare:
  1. Player position vs each "detector" event's position & facing.
  2. Player's current stealth region ID vs relevant detector events' stealth region IDs.
Sight is established only if both player and detector are in the same stealth region (or both not in a stealth region).
Stealth region IDs are defined in the plugin parameters (Plugin Manager) and painted via the R tab of the tile palette.
Only if both checks are met should the "detector" event start chasing/fleeing. :kaophew:

I haven't checked lately, Yanfly may well have patched it by now, but there were a couple of minor quirks in the stealth system a while back. Here's a link to an old thread on the topic in case you're interested: https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/inde...n-approaching-stealth-area.84308/#post-869717

Do you happen to have a sample project of the plugin? Because we already tested everything you both mentioned.
I downloaded the Sample project from Yanfly's *******, but even with the plugins installed, it doesn't seem to be used at all.

I don't have a sample handy, maybe someone else does. :kaoslp:

I've just had a thought, though. The player cannot be detected while in "Stealth Mode"; have you enabled that? The rest of the plugin applies automatically, Stealth Mode is an additional effect that renders the player invisible. :kaoswt:

I did just try and see if the plugin at least works, and not, it didn't work either.

Btw, thank you guys for trying to help me out!

can you make a new project with just those 2 plugins and see if it works?

That's exactly what I did before posting here. The same goes with my friend I mentioned who tried and see if these plugins work. The Event Chase Player works, but the Event Chase Stealth doesn't.

of the stealth mode of the video, its used in a common event and plugin command.
if you check his video at 3.12, you know what i mean, did you follow that instructions as well?

if you did, you miss something though.

I'm having a problem with getting the event to chase the player. I've followed the tutorial and still nothing. Is there a required plugin beyond the event chase plugin? I don't know what to do.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
