Problems Importing my own sprites (in RPG maker XP)

Hey everyone!

So for the past few days i've been trying to get my own sprites and backgrounds into RPG maker. However, it doesn't seem to work. If i try to add a character sprite it just doesn't show anything when i playtest, and when i try to upload my own panarama graphic it just crashes RPG maker. I'm not very experienced with RPG maker so could someone please try and explain to me what i do wrong? Thanks!

Could you please show which sprites/backgrounds you're importing? And in which folder that you are importing them?

Also is there an error message when the engine crashes?

I'm importing them into the Characters and Panoramas folders. You can see the sprites in the atatchment of this message.

There is no error message when it crashes, it just closes.

the spaceship picture is not a legal sprite - you mixed up the pixel dimensions somewhere, it has the wrong size for a sprite. For RMXP, a sprite has to be sized 4x4 times the single cell size, and the width is not a multiple of four.
What is your intended cell size for the spaceship sprite? because without that number you can't calculate the correct sprite size.

And what is the "panorama" supposed to be? It looks too big for anything...
