I am currently using the "Key Simulator" (Virtual Key) script in an attempt to achieve this, the script was created by Fantasist and can be found here : https://forum.chaos-project.com/index.php?topic=2310.0

The goal with this event is to create a sprinting event that is active when the player is pressing left shift, which allows the player to sprint, but when the player releases the left shift key, it turns off a switch and slows down the player to default speed.

However,

When i attempt to sprint within the game, the player remains at default speed.

If it helps at all, I have attached a complete image of the event.

Thanks in advance,

you completely misunderstood the purpose of the script, it cannot work with your event.

The script commands simulate that a key has been pressed without that key really having been pressed.
As such there is of course no return info.

Your event on the other hand needs a command that checks if the player has pressed the real key on his keyboard - that can't be checked at all with that script.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
