Hello! First of all, I apologize if this has been asked before. I've tried searching to see if anyone else has had this problem and I simply cannot find it.

So I got the mythos horror pack, and while so far it's good, I have just one problem. Basically, I want to create an event using one of the monster sprite sheets. I select which sprite I want and it automatically sets the priority to "same as character." However, when I move the player character toward the monster, it doesn't collide and I move right under it.

I thought that maybe the bonus script included in the pack would help, but it doesn't seem to do anything, at least not that I notice.

Has anyone else out there bought and downloaded this pack and also had this problem and/or know how to fix it?

no, the problem is something else.

The ingame size of any event is exactly one tile, but the spritesize is NOT limited.
If you use a sprite that is larger than one tile (32x32 pixel for Ace), then only the event area itself will count for collision even if the sprite itself is displayed on a larger area.

It's the same with the people sprites for actor - if you look carefully while going around and "talking" to other people you'll see that it's basically the feet that determine the trigger and if coming from below you'll have to go up until the sprites overlap to talk to an NPC.
But because of the perspective that looks natural and doesn't seem off, especially since all people sprites are only one tile wide even if they are two tiles high.

For the effect you want, you need a script for larger events - there are several available. But you need to take care when selecting because some of the large event scripts only work for stationary events and you need one for moving events if your monsters roam around.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the reply, I'll look into it.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
