Profile Picture

Howdeedoodeethere!

I'm new to RPG Maker Forums and I've been researching how to edit my profile and upload a profile picture.
I found out you apparently need to post a thread to upload a profile pic (which I did) but that didn't seem to change any of the available options in my account settings.
I then read some of the many threads on this topic and they say to either 1)in the account settings click on the space where the image would go, click on the "Edit" button and upload a file or 2)upload an image URL from a site like Imgur or Gravatar to the same place.
However, when I go into the "Account Details" page or any other associated with my profile/account, there is no "Edit" option for the profile picture and I am told my "full account details are not currently editable".

Is there something I missed or am doing wrong? Or do I not have enough posts? Or is there a certain forum community rank you have to earn before this feature becomes available?

Any clarification is much appreciated.

I don’t think it’s that you have to post a thread, but you have to post something. A new member’s first post has to be moderator approved. So, you made a thread, but it had not had time to be approved.

These are efforts at reducing spam. Prior to the first post approval, spam bots would flood the forum with spam threads.

Once that was under control, new accounts would be made and spam would be linked in the profile. So, you now have to have an approved post in order to edit your profile. This is why you couldn’t change your picture.

It's understandable to have some anti-spam measures, but not being able to edit your profile picture is a just annoying, especially when it automatically uploaded something to mine when I signed up.

And what's up with not being able to delete an account...
