I have a battle where a enemy flies at the hero and a battle starts. I have the first animations set up and the battle but it's after the fight I am having problems with. I can't seem to get rid of the left over enemy sprite and kill the event.

Sounds like an on-map encounter event for monster battle? 


Try reading into how to use self switches or just how to use switches (as event requirement) in general.

As well as what Sinweaver said, (which is how i'd do it) if you want it to be erased, there is an Erase Event thingy.

Only if you want the NPC to re-appear when you re-enter the map.


If you want to remove the NPC completely after you finish with it, you can't use Erase event

I know, I'd do it your way, I'm just suggestion an alternate solution because if he is doing a monster event, he'll want it to respawn when he comes back right? I still suggest your way but I just thought I'd suggest another solution too!

Not saying that it is wrong, just filling in the detail that you missed.


The question itself can't get anymore vaguer than it is.. there is no mention on the engine or what the OP is intending to do in the first place (i.e. whether the NPC is set to re-appear or it is a one off thing). Therefore if you're going to offer a suggestion, it would be a lot better that you go through with it and inform him that the NPC will re-appear if he re-enter the map just in case the OP wants that to happen. No reason to get defensive or anything about it.

Using a switch locks up the fight and it doesn't happen. Not sure what I have done wrong.

Post in the Help subforum for the Maker you are using (rather than Game Development), and include screenshots of the entire Event Page you are using to try to run this event.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
