First I would like to say thank you to everyone who gives my game a test! It is the second game I have tried to make in RPG Maker and the first game I have tried to do with RPG Maker MV. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed working on it, which is a lot :D. This is still very very early in the games development but I look forward for any feedback/critique that can help me improve on the game!

Project Murnin

Every year for the last hundred years, the great kingdom of Aris has held a tournament know as The Grand Fighters Tournament. The winner of the tournament gets not only a fantastic prize, but they are allowed to join the Royal Knights, the most elite group of monster fighters the world of Murnin has known. Having slain the strongest and most dangerous monsters known in history, only the winner of the Grand Fighters Tournament is allowed the choice of joining this elite group. As the tournament draws ever closer, our main protagonist is under going the hardest of trials prepared for him by his master, an ex Royal Knight. However, there is a dark being that has been reborn and awaits the winner of the upcoming tournament. Follow our hero through his journey as he strives to become the best SpellBlade the world has seen and prove himself as the strongest in the world by becoming the captain of the Royal Knights. Not knowing he is the only one that can stop the coming darkness awaiting him and everyone at the tournament.

The story takes place in the fantasy world of Murnin, where magic energy is in abundance, monsters roam the land, and many kingdoms have risen and fallen through great battles. A world where many strong warriors have been born and come from all over the world to compete in the greatest of fighting tournaments. However, Murnin has a dark hidden past that is soon to be revealed to the whole world.

Only 2 Characters are available right now.
Characters:

Jetro:

Jetro is the main protagonist, he is a confident laid back guy on his adventure to become the greatest SpellBlade the world has ever known. With a great master by his side and his burning passion to take on
any tough challenge that should come his way, Jetro has a great destiny awaiting him.

Korin:
Korin is one of Jetro's best friends, having been together since they were kids, Korin is known as the kind hearted yet very intelligent Sage. With a crazy hobby for making strange and unknown potions, she often drags Jetro along on her crazy missions for getting whatever she wants in order to make some
strange potion for Jetro to test.

Hey, I like the recommended party level event. Simple and easy to implement.

I'd recommend though making the color for the name of the map different than the level recommendation and larger in size.

I'm bookmarking this to play the demo when I get home, but for now, my comment on the description:

What makes the character want to join the Royal Knights so badly? What does he have to lose if he fails? If you can work that in there it will help people care a little bit more about his success, and thus, be more interested in the game. (Even if that info is in the game, hint at it in your description too.)

I gave the demo a try and made it through the forest but when I returned to Jetro's house he walked into the table and then the game froze, so I quit. Still gave me enough time to get a bit of feel for the game, it seems like it could be interesting as you keep working on it.

The Good (What I liked)
- I liked that you went over the controls right away, it's useful for new players and let me know there weren't any weird keybinds. If you're using Yanfly's message core plugin I think you could change the message box height so that all the buttons display at the same time instead of spread over a few messages.
- Getting chased out of the Marind item shop for finding an item in the pot was pretty funny.
- Seeing other people in the forest was nice, it made it seem like people actually live in the world.
The Bad (What I think needs work)
- The lady at the inn in the Town of Gale took my money to recover there... When Jetro lives right next door. Would've been nicer if she just told him to go sleep at home.
- Battles weren't much fun after the first few fights. It came down to Jetro whacking monsters with his sword and then munching berries to recover once it was over.
The Ugly (Mapping mistakes & other presentation issues)
- The file is called 'project 420' so I kinda assumed it was going to be a joke game right away, you may want to change that.
- The bright backgrounds make it hard to read the white text in the menus, making them a bit darker could help.
- I'm not a fan of the bright blue message box, it started to hurt my eyes after a while. Maybe make it darker as well.
- Some of the dialogue in Korin's house after getting the flower is cut off.
- Mostly just a personal pet peeve, I'm not a fan of leaving edges on carpets when making them wall-to-wall. Holding shift while putting down the carpet would get rid of the edges.

First thank you for taking the time to try out my game! My apologies for the bug that froze the game I will fix that, I thought I had fixed it already but I guess I forgot to.

On the backround and textbox I will also see what I can do about making it a little darker, it didnt bother me but if it is indeed bothering other people I shall definitely fix it for the better. You are right about the inn in the first town, I can just have her tell him to go home next door so you dont end up having to waste money there, good idea, I appreciate it. As for the carpets Ill try and see how it looks so you dont see the edges but I like the way it looks. However im always willing to try new looks.

Im glad you found things you liked about the game, I will work on the battle system more so if provides a bit more of a challenge, I wasn't sure how others would see it so Im glad you could give me feedback on it.
Anyways I will be updating the game link here very soon that should fix the bug that casued you to freeze along with quite a bit more gameplay past that point as well as various other changes and improvements I have made so far and will make after seeing yours and any others feedback if I get some more. Hopefully you will try the game out again once it is much closer to the completed stage :D

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
