You're probably not considering to join. But you don't know what you're missing!

I have so many plans for this game, and I'm sure it's going to be a great game,

IF I got all crew members I need. I still need a mapper, tileset artist and a normal artist (for characters, images in game).

Please think twice before scrolling further. If I want something to be done it will be done. And I want the game to be in the same rate as To the Moon, Mad Father, The Crooked man, ...

Again...please reconsider. PM me with any questions and if something is holding you back, please tell it, without more crew members the game can't be developed. Simple as that.

I hope someone is reconsidering because this is a good game falling into pieces if there aren't any more crew members joining...

You should maybe start reevaluating some of the positions you're asking for.

First of all, tileset artist. The success at finding one for free is near impossible. You could offer payment for the position but really do you actually need one? The three games you mentioned (To the Moon, Mad Father, The Crooked Man) none of them have exclusive custom tiles. There's a lot of amazing resources in the web store, but also just on these forums (and the internet in general). I suggest just looking for the tiles you need and if there's a few you can't find, you can make a post in the Resource Requests forum.

Also, your map is not actually that bad. You could post it in the Game and Screenshot topic (in General Discussions) and we could help you improve your mapping. :)

Edit: I can't believe I forgot to say this, but good luck on your game. And hey, there's no need to hurry. Miss Littlefish (below me) gives some really good tips as well.

Hey, there. I wanted to drop in to help encourage you some. And remind you that making your game will be a marathon and not a race. It will be paced and take some time. You don't want to sprint and wear yourself out. So don't look at the things you do not have. Instead, look at what you do have and start making goals you can complete right now with the members you have gathered. Writers and scripters can do a lot!

Also, place holders are perfectly acceptable in many of these cases because the more you can get moving toward having a tangible presentation of the game play and a prototype for what your game will be like, the more interest you can generate in your project to fill your gaps.

I also agree that the scale of some of these positions can be pulled back a little. There are so many wonderful and beautiful resources available. Search these forums and Grandma Deb's lists. I for one am a huge fan of the tiles you are already using. 

But, find what you can. Make lists of what is missing after that. Participate in workshops and resource requests, ect. You'll cover some ground there as well.

About the tileset artist, you're actually right, they aren't neccesary while there are so many resources already available, I totally agree with that.

So I guess I'll keep going with Celianna's tilesets. But I have a problem with the tileset I have. (I don't think I need to post the problem here but maybe someone can give a quick answer.)

The tileset of celianna I use includes this:



















They look like they're complete, it looks like I'm missing a water tile.

The water tiles I have are on this image:

As you can see, I'm missing a watertile that goes completely to the edges of the tile, like this:



But these tiles are sea types. The set doesn't include the dirt type. Only this:



Also, as you can see on the image of the custom exterior tileset, the places are marked as "X" where the player can't walk.

But the player can still walk on it, even as it is set as a non-walkable tile.

I'm missing something here or doing something wrong but I have used several tilesets before and I never encountered something like this. Anyone knows something?

I'm probably going to pos this problem on the right forum.

Hi, I'd like to apply to position of overall artist and/or mapper

I'd rate myself 6/10 as a mapper and as an artist I'll leave it to you to judge my skill, I'll pm you an example.

What I expect from joining the staff? Good communication inside the team, completion of the game and that I'll have something to do in my free time, since I'm too lazy to make a whole complete game by myself.

I'm offering to join for free, since I don't work on project of my own... at least not now.

- Reëvaluation of the remaining staff spots added.

- Date of switch from Recruitment Stage to Development Stage will be announced soon.

- First gameplay pictures/videos will be added soon.

WARNING: When the Development stage started all roles will be closed and no one can apply anymore. So if you're in doubt, make your

I should, but another artist applied that got a bit more experience then Pepiik, so I took her to work together with him. Now indeed the artist spots are closed.

Pepiik and Polardarkness are our artists.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
