So I'm attempting to edit another person's game- In The Time Machine Over The Sea by Broportal.

(You can download it for free if you Google it.)

The game is fun, but it's just a nightmare with encounters every 6 steps.

The bosses are also too OP.

So I opened the project in VX and made all the edits I wanted, and then when I went to save it, nothing happened.

I didn't get any message saying it saved or anything.

So I tried to test it, and it still just says, "Do you want to save changes?"

But no matter how long I wait or how many times I do it, it never saves.

Yes, I've Googled this problem before making a thread.

Yes, the save path is correct.

Yes, it's a legit copy of the maker.

Yes, I ran it as admin.

Am I just being impatient, or is there something else I could try?

Thanks

And what is that save path?

If you can't save, then either the path or the files are being protected from overwriting.

This can either be that the files have been write-protected before uploading to the internet, then you need to remove the write-protection from them.

Or the path itself has been write-protectedby Windows or a security program.

I had this problem with VX/ACE. Turns out, my anti-virus program was preventing the program from making any changes to the files (it thought VX/ACE was a virus). You should check that the game is on the whitelist for your anti-virus software.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
