projEffects, what is that? can i use it? what do i need to watch for?

I'm currently looking for a way to separate events from each other means i want to have only certain effect on one group of my events(enemy's).

i plan let $gameMap._events check of a specific value in there. does _projEffects fit my needs? if not why? what does it do?

I'm completely new to JavaScript and naked... and rpg maker.

programing language i was able on business level c++ assembler VB6 and .net so please be kind on the js specific terms.

I dont know about that, but i could think of a Self Variables Pluginn Workaround.
For example we call one Self Variable for Events: Event Class.
Than at Gamestart or Mapstart an Event for example sets the Self Variable for Class to 4 for the Event Ids 11 to 20 on Map 1.
Now whenever you make the Hit detection for your so called "Effect" just include a conditional branch if that event id got the correct
class id, in our case 4.
If no self variable value is set for events, than its 0, thatway you just need to change class self variable for your special events.

Could that work for you?
