"Prologue" event that only occurs when the player first boots the game, then never again?

Example from the visual novel "Tsukihime": When the player first starts the game they are instantly treated to a prologue. Afterwards, you are taken to a title screen. Upon opening the game on the second (and further) sittings, that prologue no longer plays and you are taken directly to the title screen instead.

I wanted my game to have something similar: A prologue that starts immediately upon first booting it, then it won't appear again after the player has completed it. I'm aware I'll need a custom title screen as RPG Maker's built-in one would have to be skipped in order to accommodate for that prologue, but that's besides the point.

Is there any way to do this through events? Or would I need a plugin?

You could use a skip title plugin like yami's. Have the player start wherever you want your prologue to start, then have an autorun event that does w/e you want it to do. At the end flip a switch for this example, switch 1. Then use the return to title command at the end. On the next page of this autorun event have it only run if switch 1 is on, and have that transfer player to wherever you want your actual game to start. Will have to use a persistent switch plugin like this as well to make it work.

Have no idea if this will actually work, but it does in my head.

Hey thanks but I solved it myself in a way is proper for my game. If anyone is curious:

Conditional branch > Script (in 4th page) > "DataManager.isAnySavefileExists()" (without quotes) > Create else condition

It checks if the player has a save file and that's it.

Damn. We’ve gotten so close to 0 reports, 0 approvals a few times over the past couple weeks. Does it matter? No. Is it realistic. No? Do I rely on your reports and want everyone to keep posting. Yes. Do I 100% games? …sigh… Yes.

Ah yes, all three of my moods all at once.
Here's a tutorial I did on how I made my Leonardo A.I.-assisted artworks for my game's recent update. :rhappy:

Found some expired fireworks in garbage today. I wonder if they still work.
