Proximity Activate that detects kind of event?

    I'm looking at Yanfly's Event Proximity Activate plug-in, which seems to do a good job of defining the areas the event can affect. However, I wonder if there's a way to use this (or another plug-in) that will enable the event to detect "what" triggered it?

    For example, say I create a cannon. It will fire if a "monster" type enters into its zone, and ignore if an "ally" character enters the zone.

    Is this possible?
