PSA2020 is a surreal RPG game exploring themes of mental health and life in quarantine. Following our protagonist Jane's journey through the fever-dream like world where the story slowly unfolds as you delve deeper into the unconscious.

The game draws inspiration from games like Earthbound, LSD Dream Emulator, Yume Nikki, OFF and John Carpenter movies.

In the distant dystopian future of 2020 you experience the world through the eyes of Jane, an interloper in the odd warped world that slightly resembles our own.

Your identity and your past are unknown to you. Do you have amnesia? No, that's just such an overdone trope.
You know people and you know places but... are you sure that you want to remember why you are here.

Many things you encounter resemble things you saw when falling asleep in front of an old CRT tv in an old hotel that you were quarantined in. It's a strange land that can be at times beautiful and at times the embodiment of a nightmare.

You explore the various planes of reality and encounter strange beings. Many of them are hostile but the choice to engage in a fight with them is optional.

Every choice has tremendous weight to it as there are many consequences you may never have foreseen. The difference between having enough toilet paper or not may just be the difference between life and death.

You can craft makeshift weapons out of household items and use them to fight or repel creatures that lurk in the darkness.

You can find screenshots and more on my subreddit.

Hi there. I just wanted to start by saying that this looks incredible. I watched the trailer you posted and I was very impressed by what I saw. I love concepts like this, and I feel like this one has even more weight to it because of how obviously relevant it is. I really like the designs of the monsters, very reminiscent of the influences you cited while still being its own thing.

I'm keeping an eye out for this one.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
