Pushing - Pulling objects

I was trying to put an object on the map that my character can push and pull. 

The pushing works fine however I cannot seem to make the pulling work. 

For the pushing, I added an event with following properties:

Priority: Same as character
Trigger: Player touch
It has a Set Move Route - Move away from player. 

Works like a charm. 

I also want the character to be able to pull the object. 
I tried by adding an event page and set the trigger to action button and the movement to move towards the player. When I do this, the pushing also stops working. 

I'm new to RPG maker so not sure how to accomplish this. 

Any pointers would be great.

only one page of an event can be active - to enable both push and pull for the same event, the comands need to be on the same event page - or you have to work with the much trickier parallel process.

When pulling, you need to first make a move command for the player sprite to move away, because otherwise the event cannot enter the position of the player.

Can I also have a more complex trigger? 
For example the push action does need to work on Player touch while the pull need to work on the Player action. That's why I was thinking on having 2 pages...

I made the push work, but I would like to know if it's possible to make it push an object that's 2 tiles high, like a chair.

If the object is a single event with a large grafic, no problem - but in that case the player can move on the upper part unless you do some tricky blocking, as the pushed event will only be one tile even if the grafic is more than one tile.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
