Japan's current situation is rotten. The pollution has started to make people very sick - some people were unlucky and got seriously infected by a virus. A virus that starts to do crazy things to a person after a while. But hey, that's only a urban legend! Do you believe in legends, though?
You are a regular teenager, walking back home from your friend's place, but then something starts to happen. You find yourself being very thirsty and decide to buy something to drink. Bam! Next thing you know you're underground, fighting with an aggressive, virus-infected lady called Aelita.
Aelita tells you that the "urban legend" isn't actually only a legend - it's reality. Non-infected people want infected ones dead. "They think this is some crazy zombie ****", said Aelita. You feel a little bit afraid, but decide to do what you can to help Aelita and her friends.
The story continues as you and Aelita (and maybe a dog, if you let him come with you two!) go see a scientist, Mio. After that Mio asks you to bring him some ingredients, because he might now a way to make a medicine (P1-X) for the virus. Getting the ingredients will not be as easy as it sounds, and you will meet many conflicts on the way to get them.
Will you save your friends? - The old and the new ones.
You're on the way to the green Japan.
FAQ
Can my computer/phone run it?: I'm 90% sure it can!
Will the game be downloadable on Steam / Play store / App store / etc.?: The game will be on Steam Greenlight at some point,
and hopefully on the "legit" Steam shop after that. It will probably be available for Android, as well - and hopefully for Mac and iOS!
What resources do you use?: Right now I only use RPGツクール MV's own resources, but if I'm going to use other free resources
later I'll credit the artist, of course! I'll make the music and hopefully someone will help me with graphics (mostly character and background images).
I'm new with gaming, can I still play it?: Absolutely yes. The controls are very simple, and there will be a walkthrough for the puzzle parts.
What language the game is going to be?: It will be in English, but I might update it so you can choose other languages as well, but we will see about that later.
Will the game be suitable for kids?: At this point I'd say that you should be at least +13, because P1-X is going to include some tough/scary topics, fighting and rude language.
Is it hard to make a game?: Even though RPGツクール MV is pretty simple to use, I'd say yes, making a game is hard indeed. But all the pain and time used will be worth it!
Why do you want to make a game?: I'm dreaming of having a job at game industry, and I want to learn as much as possible on my own first.
Can you make a thing X and Y to the game, pleaaaase!: I'm more than glad to hear your wishes and hopes, but I won't promise anything.
Do you need help with the progress?: Currently I'm making P1-X on my own, but I'm looking for graphic
designer. Send me a private message via , or if you're interested (contact info below).
FGJ, assembly and cons
I will be at Finnish Game Jam Turku (29. - 31.1.) with my boyfriend! Feel free to come chat with us (I look like my profile pic on my personal Twitter lol).
Sadly I won't be coming to assembly because of travel and money issues, but maybe next time!
Cons are a big "maybe", usually I won't come to cons but I'd really like to see what they are like.
If you have more questions, I'll gladly answer to them. So don't be afraid to ask!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
