Pyxel Edit, what are the dimensions for different sheets?

I like to use Pyxel Edit for my sprite drawing, i recently bought MV for making a game, i want to eventually use entirely custom sprites for my final product, but i cannot seem to find the correct size settings for sprite sheets to use in the software.

i have seen some tutorials regarding this but none are specific about the sizes needed.

All help is much appreciated.

That is because the sprites have no fixed size - it is the structure that is important, not the pixel numbers.

Each single sprite consists of 3*4 cells and a spritesheet has 4*2 sprites or 12*8 cells.
All cells of a sheet need to be identical in size, but which cell size doesn't matter.

Default cell size is 48*48 same as tiles, but if you check the "big monster" sprites you'll See that they have a larger cell size.
Just choose which cell size you want and multiply that by 12*8 to get the picture size for a full spritesheet.

Just a word of warning, if you're using the default map editor, be careful about sprite sizes because on star tiles this issue can happen:

Star = same layer as player. If the player is below a tile, appear above, if above the tile, the player appears below.

Oh just scale your tiles to take sprite size into consideration. There's no right way other than trial and error to be honest! I figured I should give you a heads up since I was taken off guard by this issue a long time ago.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
