So, I was working on a graphic for character faces and am trying to get a transparent background but seem to be missing something. I get the pic but with a white background. The image itself has no white background and is transparent. Everything looks edited properly in photoshop. Why, when I import the image, does the face have a white background under the image?

When exporting, make sure the "Background" layer is gone completely and when saving to PNG that the alpha is intact.  If using Photoshop, it's all inclusive.  For GIMP, I think there's an option to make sure the alpha is saved with the image.

For GIMP as long as the image isn't flatten, the Alpha layer should be automatic for PNGs. (That is if the image was transparent in the first place)

He's using photoshop, as he said, not GIMP ;)

Got to save as .png file to keep the transparent background.

Still if the white background for some reason doesn't go away go to editor, press F10 and import the graphics. Then left click and right click in the colour you want to set as transparent.

Yeah, I was sleep deprived when I read that, so I didn't catch Photoshop in his post.  Still, holds up. lol

Alright well I managed to fix the background thingy. Now I have a white pixelated outline over the black outline making this double border effect...

That's an error in the image yourself. You'll have to erase it manually in Photoshop.

I see. Alright then. If I can touch it up properly I'll try that out.

Shouldn't you have the original PSD file though? The one without a background? Just save it as a PNG, and make sure you see a transparent background (indicated by white and grey checkers, if you haven't fiddled around with the standard setting that is), so that means it has NO background.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
