Does Man hold the power or does power hold the Man, This is a question that has always been in my mind. Sometimes power itself controls the actions and outcome of Man's well being. Sometimes power is something really small that man found along the sidewalk but soon develops to an even greater power. So my question is does Man hold the power or does Power hold the Man :)

The saying "with great power comes great responsibility" and with that you can confer that a man in control and with a level head has a grip on power itself to utilize it for the great good, while a man lost in it would have no control over it and thus let it consume him and use it for his own personal or malevolent means.

It all really depends on how you look at it, but I think that's pretty accurate.

Both can be true: man is not a constant, its a variable.

Man (or woman) always holds the power.  It all comes down to how he or she plans to use it.

If power is being used to control others, then there's still someone using that said power.

Though if it becomes an addiction, then it means that the power is now controlling your life...

Logically, you still hold the power but in the actual flow of things power is holding you in that situation...

Well power reflects your true nature as a human being. How you use your power is how you deal with your responsibilities in life. :)

To quote one of the great movies of our time:

"You never had control, that's the illusion!"

Just swap out the word "control" with power and that sums up what I think about man and power.

Hmmm... power eh? It's a roundabout situation and how one uses it. I for one say it was first that man holds power, but down along the lines it will become the power that holds man because no matter how pure you are comes the temptation of using that power for yourself and in the end comes corruption.

Now it sounds wrong and yes if you point out comic book heroes and such for with power comes responsibility, but would someone still stay on the path of responsibility for so long in the world we live in? Morals, upbringing, and ideals do come into play, but in the long run power will hold man in the end because power feeds and grows like a virus until in consumes everything.

A good example would most likely be Superman in Injustice for he had power to save others, but after the incident he became warped and used his power to oppress others.

I agree with you that the perception of power almost always ends up corrupting the individual.  Just like when people become rich - their newfound wealth often goes to their head and a new inflated personality emerges.

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."

Depends on how you define power.

I think greed is the true root of most common interpersonal issues, and it's greed in conjunction with power that makes real problems.

When a person becomes powerful in any sense, they also acquire the freedom to act upon their greed.

In this perspective, power doesn't really corrupt, it simply allows what is already corrupted to act out its desires.

Power in and of itself is just a quality that gives us freedom to act in various ways. Some people don't have the mental maturity to handle that freedom though. It isn't power itself though, that is making them act like idiots. Those seeds were planted long before they ever acquired power - by their genes, their upbringing, their peers, and their environment.

Man holds the power, it's just always the guy behind you that's in control...

^ Not essentially because that guy that's behind the other guy who holds power is held by power. Strange as it sounds brings up the issue of what comes first: The chicken or the egg?

Who holds power first or does power hold them first?

Problem is that people that first hold power exploit it for good and in the shadows are manipulated by those held by power in turn corrupts those that hold power into power that controls.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
