This is a little weird to explain, but I'm going to try.

Normally if you display text and follow it with Show Choices both will show at the same time like this:

                                               Yes

                                               No

Inn Keeper:

Do you want to rest?

Both the text and the choices are shown at once.

But oddly if the text is wrapped in a condition branch or if even a simple event comment exists after the text it will cause the text box to close first before the choices are shown.  Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?  I'd like to be able to use a common event along with conditional branches to display text without it having to close first before showing a list of choices.

Putting the text inside the conditional will make it show with the choices. It won't look as neat in the events, but will look more polished to the player.

Yep. The Show Text command gathers all the lines of text to be shown, and then it looks at the very next line. If the next line is a Show Choices, Input Number, or a couple of other things, it'll wrap them together. Because your very next line is a Conditional Branch, it won't do that. Venka's solution is what I use when I need to have them appear together - it just means copying and pasting the same Show Text command into the true and false parts of the conditional branch.

Not sure that is going to help me then.

I was hoping I could keep the choices outside the conditional branches so I could use different font colors in my text to go along with the same choices.  That way I wouldn't have to rewrite the event just to accommodate a simple color change.  Thanks for clearing this up none-the-less.  Least now I know.

This leads me to a second question.  Is there any way to swap font colors through the use of variables?  Similar to how you can use variables to show different text messages?

As an example and building off my earlier one, let's say I wanted the word Inn Keeper: to show up in two different colors depending on rather the value of variable A was 1 or 2.

Conditional Branch: Variable: A == 1

\C[1]Inn Keeper:

Do you want to rest?

Branch End

Conditional Branch: Variable: A == 2

\C[2]Inn Keeper:

Do you want to rest?

Branch End

Show Choices: Yes, No

Is there any way I could accomplish the color change without having to write the Show Choices part of my event twice while keeping both the text message and the choices showing up on the screen together?  Hope that makes sense.

\C[\V[var_id]] should do it.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
