Question about the feasibility of a Press Turn Battle System

(If this looks possible, I'll post a proper thread in Classifieds, but right now I'm just trying to get some info)

Of all the different kinds of battle systems available on RPGMMV, Press Turn Battle seems to be the only one no one has tried to make - and of course that's the one I want to use.

So I was wondering: Why is that? Is PTB really complicated to make compared to CTB and ATB? or has there just not been a demand for it since RPGMVXA?

I'd love to be able to work with a PTB system that works kind of like SMT IV... it's my ideal battle system for what I want to do.

Any ideas why PTB is the odd-system out?

It's not the easiest to make, but definitely possible. As for why it hasn't been done, I guess it's not as popular as other systems. In fact I've never even heard of Press-turn system until now. It looks like a pretty decent system in theory, but pretty hard to balance and easy to exploit.

Well anything that involves changing how the battle defaultly works is a huge task.. So normally, unless there's a huge demand or someone really wants to make it, no one will make it. Also due to the nature of these battle systems which can clash greatly with plugins that rely on the normal one it can cause a lot of problem after creation, even Yanfly stopped support for his ATB,CTB,STB systems.

Basic ATB is even considerably easy to setup as it just really need a few lines of code, yet those very simple logical changes causes a lot of chain reaction down the line, which can then lead to a whole lot of work just making it compatible with other stuff.

Of course it is possible, but you will probably really need to commission it since its a huge work and most people would rather make plugins that will easily work alongside with most already made ones rather than on one that might cause a lot of compatibility troubleshooting along the line. It might even lead to you needing specialized plugins for things that exist now that you want to use but isn't compatible with your PTB.
