Hello everyone. I am using the trial version of the RMMV and i am missing a option in the command Change Blend Mode in the Movement Commands. In the RPG Maker VX Ace there are 3 (Add, subtract and multiply) if i recall correctly. In this RMMV i only see the Add blend option, it because this is a Trial version, Or it was removed from this new RPG Maker?
Thank you :D

There does appear to be normal, and additive in my version, if you mean under set movement route? Hope that this helps! :)

Subtract Blend Mode is not supported by some platforms so it was removed. VXAce didn't have multiply. It only had Normal, Add, Sub.

RPG Maker MV should support it pixi.js v3 has this in it's code, v2 is identical:

/**

     * Various blend modes supported by PIXI. IMPORTANT - The WebGL renderer only supports

     * the NORMAL, ADD, MULTIPLY and SCREEN blend modes. Anything else will silently act like

     * NORMAL.

     *

     * @static

     * @constant

     * @property {object} BLEND_MODES

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.NORMAL

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.ADD

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.MULTIPLY

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.SCREEN

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.OVERLAY

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.DARKEN

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.LIGHTEN

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.COLOR_DODGE

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.COLOR_BURN

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.HARD_LIGHT

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.SOFT_LIGHT

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.DIFFERENCE

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.EXCLUSION

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.HUE

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.SATURATION

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.COLOR

     * @property {number} BLEND_MODES.LUMINOSITY
As for... is it in the editor? Under "Show Picture" it only has Normal and Additive. BTW, anything seen HERE could conceivably be done in a plugin.

it's there but not included in the editor by default. Since as I said, some platforms don't support it. (I forgot which ones it's probably the mobile ones or the browsers)

Here's examples of how WebGL uses these blend modes. The first question you need to ask is if you actually need the blend mode, since even if the editor does not support it, pixi.js might.

There's a remark in the pixi.js that MSIE (9 I think) doesn't support any blend mode other than Normal and Add, and that might be it, but without testing I don't think it can be confirmed and might not be within the scope of what the average RPG Maker MV user would use in practice.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
